I moved it to its own thread. Significant news like confirmed team signings can always have a new thread. It's rumors, speculation, and random thoughts that don't usually deserve their own.

I hate to tell you, but the hyphen is not the correct standard anymore, and you simply have to understand the appropriate context to know how to correctly emphasize the word.

I like Meyer and I think that he's going to be an NHL player.

The Panther's braintrust just needs to give the kid a solid chance.

That's fair enough - I edited it that way.

I don't know. In his time with Florida he really didn't impress me too much. I thought he looked a tad slow.

Decent depth signing. His foot speed will always hamper him since it seems his scoring touch really hasn't translated to a pro level. Still, he can play on the fourth line in case of injuries. Who knows, maybe a season without the problems a dual affiliation causes can help get his development into gear.

he certainly isn't fleet of foot but he actually does seem to be developing a bit of finish in the A (not a sniff during his callups tho he didn't look bad). had a decent season in terms of points there. he's in the unenviable position of being several other young guys in line for a bottom 6 pivot spot with the big club. and now sprukts is rumored to be headed back. brine's down there as well and his defensive and faceoff game seems fairly sharp for kid his age. he does have some tools though and you can never have enough depth/assets.
