At this point in the thread the whole argument is based on who's being the most offensive/stupid since this determines who gets Sundin.

Is Sundin's new wife (to be?) a model because if so, MTL and VAN are probably not gonna cut it.

So that little news report that came out is his source this time eh? Thanks for telling us the obvious, would have been better if his "source" told him acouple days before it became known info.

It's nice when two fan bases that don't interact much and evidently don't see much of each other's team get together to talk smack. It breaks up the monotony of playing shell games with Boston, Ottawa and Toronto fans.

What happened to Mats being "signed, sealed and delivered" for Vancouver?

Apparently, he was mulling over hockey during his fishing trip in Sweden

Speaking of which, why do hockey players enjoy such boring activities like fishing and golf? No wonder Basketball and Football players get so much more press. They go around ****ing models and living it up while guys like Sundin, Fisher and Richards...fish.

If you grow up in Canada and you hang out with the guys who are immersed in playing hockey, you'll automatically understand how this makes sense.

But they're just so....boring. Ovechkin is a good example of an athlete who has fun yet doesn't embarrass himself.

He was doing quite well before the Leafs were officially out.

No, that's not the going price.

You're confused by the amount Vancouver offered. Vancouver, as a non-playoff team with a suspect group of wingers to compliment him and a lousy travel schedule needed to offer more.

And it still won't get it done.

Montreal will be coming in in the $7.5 million range.

Seems funny that you would condescendingly point out what his "asking price" is when you clearly have no clue what his asking price is. He's never 'asked' for anything, so why would you pretend to know what his asking price is?

Officially out means nothing. It was clear at the All-Star break they were out of it. When you have six teams between you and the playoff spot - and you play a ton of games against those teams, and those teams play each other a lot, meaning at least one of those teams will be picking up two points - it was impossible for the Leafs to make the playoffs a month and a half before they were actually eliminated.

Only Leaf fans and the Toronto media pretended it wasn't over.

Seriously, all you nucks fans who think sundin will sign because you offered him more money are idiots. Mats Sundin has made sooooooooooooooooooo much money playing hockey, what does 3 extra million really do for him? He also stated that he doesn't want to play out west. Now, he may change his mind and play for you guys, (who really knows with mats) but id say its very unlikely, and if he does then its because he feels the team is a contender and a good fit for him.

Yeap, and many of them declare bankruptcy once the pay checks stop coming. "Spending money/birthing kids" is such a magnificent activity.

Kobe!

This thread delivers, btw.
