5 assists and was a -2? That is VERY strange.

That's what happens when you score 5 powerplay goals.

Good to see. Was he playing with Walker, both are RWs? Who were his line-mates?

Reminds me of when Greg Adams scored 4 goals in his Canuck debut. Nashville is rounding into a nice team...

the thing is, the goals he scored weren't the typical predator goals--caused by chaos in close\banging in the slot.

these were PRETTY goals, like...killer instinct type of goals. the first one especially, he faked the defender and nabokov completely out with a bit of a headfake, and roofed it from the SIDE OF THE NET.

it was great to see him go absolutely crazy, jumping for joy after every goal. he and walker seemed to have clicked already. they were laughing and joking the whole game, and their passes were dead on to each other. you can tell what he's bringing to the TEAM just by looking at the fact that the first thing he did when the game ended was soar down and almost tackle vokoun in a bear hug. he seems genuinely excited, and it was great to see, as a fan of this team.

This is one of those points in a season where things are looking very bright. Obviously still a tough road to the playoffs, but the energy he brought to the team is just amazing. With the Preds play, especially Vokoun, as of late, they needed SOMETHING to break them out of the funk, and this did it. Hopefully they'll keep it up and go on a tear and make it to the playoffs

I don't see how the Predators can miss the playoffs after this pick up. Sure, they'll have their problems down the stretch, but with the talent and heart on that team I don't see how they can possibly be shut out of a playoff seed. Keep in mind this is also assuming that St. Louis, Edmonton or both make a late-season playoff run and move the Predators into 9th/10th.

Mizral said this the other day in the chat room, with the tie to the Predators by the Oilers and the subsequent pick up of Sullivan to the Preds, the Oilers are STICK A FORK IN THEM DONE.

I'm so happy for Sullivan, for actually being on a team that has a realistic shot at a good run in the playoffs, he must be really excited.

Way to go Stevie

sully really looked happy out there. he went nuts every time he or a teammate scored and his energy and heart has already rubbed off on the predators. I love this guy as he seems like a real top-notch guy.

As a Nashville fan we REALLY appreciate having someone like him on our team (he compliments walker quite well). The "Sully!" chants were out of control and I'm still hoarse from screaming.

Sullivan is the first player since 1993 to record a hat trick in his debut for his new team.

he played the left wing, centered by david legwand. scott walker was on the right.

he also played on the first PP unit...with Walker, Johnson(and Johansson), Timonen and Zidlicky

on the first PK unit, he was out with Scott Walker, Timonen and York

It's quickly becoming one of the best feel good story this season. I've always like Sullivan. Nashville had no one like him to my knowledge. Great trade. Gainey missed the boat on this one. Two 2nd is definately a price I'd have paid for this guy even though we need size we also need fast wingers who can put the puck in the net.

I agree. Great story!! And he really seems to be excited about the new opportunity.

Could he be the guy to put the Preds over the top?

I've got that feeling that it's similar to the Ducks getting Stumpy last year and him providing a spark.

The team was in a bit of a slump and prior to the trade I was getting worried that TV would just get down on himself and the team would slip off, but with Sully he's brought a spark to the team that was greatly needed.
