That entire organization is a mess.

That makes no sense. He was doing well with what he had and could work with there.

I actually felt that Ted Nolan was doing pretty good there. I don't get it.

Ted Nolin was the best thing the NYI had going for them.

NYI

Carbo
Gainey

Let's get Ted Nolin in Montreal

Too bad for the Leafs they didn't do this earlier.

I'd take Ted Nolan over Ron Wilson any day.

I imagine tomorrow's headline

"Yashin signed to a 30 million, 6 years contract"

I wouldn't even be surprised. This organization is a joke. Nolan was the only positive thing in this organization.

Nolan seems a strong personality... he doesn't seem like the type to stick around something for security alone.

I like him and hope he re-surfaces an an NHL coach soon.

And in typical Chang fashion, he'll play his top line for over 50 minutes in each game, he likes things to be so over-extended...

I'm kinda wondering if the league brought Chang to ownership of the Isles so he could totally tank them and then move the team (as the tri-state arear is already packed), or this is a move to get a win closer, I mean, a win farther from the Tavares sweepstake.

My guess, strictly a guess is that the Isles are in, or plan to be in, full blown re-build and want/need to go with youth while Nolan's strength is inspiring middle of the road vets and castoffs to over achieve.

Too bad.

I'm thinking he'll get snatched up by LA.

Re-building while acquiring Doug Weight...
even more contradition than a hippie smoking Philip Morris's products...

With Buffalo it had to do with Hasek and him, this seems to be between Snow and Nolan.

I have a feeling Ted Nolan is racist against goaltenders.

That's the only way I can figure one of the best coaches in the NHL would have trouble getting work for as long as he did, and when finally getting work, ending up losing it this way.

Could see this one coming.

GM calls out team by stating they underachieved. Nolan calls out GM for not providing good enough players.

GM's an idiot for thinking that team underachieved.

True, it makes no sense, but I bet that player development and philosophy is behind all of this.
