That's one of the things that frustrates me about the timing of all of this. A week earlier and our UFA strategy might have been completely different.

We have shied away from Russians since the 03 draft. Radulov was an exception because of his willingness to come over to Juniors immediately.

After the Platonov mess, I can see why.

This year's crop of Russians is especially mediocre so don't expect us to grab any Russians this year, either unless someone like Kuchin falls WAY down the draft board and he's just too good to pass up on. Even though Kuchin is a head case...

This is what irks me even more, had the turd informed the team his intentions earlier I'm sure our UFA strategy would have been different, now though who is available to sign to try to replace him?
