Favorite Team(s): NHL - Flyers, NFL - Eagles, WHL (Canadian junior league) - Regina Pats, CFL - Saskatchewan Roughriders, NCAAF - The U
Favorite Player(s): Mike Richards, Darroll Powe, Kimmo Timonen, Drew Doughty, Ryan Getzlaf, Garrret Mitchell (WHL, Caps draft pick. ), Mark Recchi
Team: Quit a few years ago, played basically everything in minor hockey but mostly goalie.
Flyers fan since: Born into it, dad and gramps have been fans since the glory days.
Welcome to the zoo!
I completely understand your disgust when your favourite junior players get drafted by the enemy. The Devils have drafted or signed 3 or 4 of my favourite Kitchener Rangers in the past few years. Atlanta isn't too far behind them.
Hey, thanks for the welcome, gang. I've been a long-time poster at other boards and was a moderator on the PhiladelphiaEagles.com board for several years; however, I won't use any of that to "big time" anyone. I feel - chest-thumping aside - every hockey fan has some insight, or at least an opinion worth considering, regardless of youth. As for the note above about not having favorite players, that's not entirely accurate. Hank Aaron was, and is, the only true sports hero I have ever had.
Again, thanks for the welcome and I hope I can contribute constructively to these boards.
Favorite Team(s): FLYERS, Manchester phoenix, Philadelphia Eagles, Chicago Bears, Manchester City, Wigan Rugby League, Sale Rugby Union, Palermo Football club, small interest in Minnesota wild, i dont mind the maple leafs.
Most Hated Player(s): Crobsy ofc, Avery, Kaleta, McSorley.
Flyers fan since: About 1998, Legion of Doom (always moved Renberg back up to first line on NHL 99 lol), especially Lindros, made sure i was a flyers fan as soon as my dad bought me NHL 98, and having the coolest colours in hockey too. It helped as well that when i started watching hockey seriously the flyers were and still are always in playoffs.
There used to be a thread here somewhere about FB.
P.S. Beef, I will be happy to explain the wonderful history of the Renegades, with their orange and black unis and R with a stick logo instead of a flying P with a puck logo. I miss the old days.

Flyers fan since I was born. Dad has season tickets. Usually go to the game right before christmas every year when I come back to Philly.
Quick Blurb: I think USA losing to Canada was extra special for USA flyers fans. Not only do we have to watch crosby do that to us every year in the playoffs, but now we had to experience that asshat do it in the olympics.
Favorite Team(s): Manchester City, Wigan Rugby League, Sale Rugby Union,

Hey good to see more uk fans in here, and rugby league fans. Bridgend boy here, and a pretty strong crusader supporter. Shame you support the wrong side of manchester though
I plan on it. I need to vent my frustrations somewhere about this team. I don't know any other flyers fans in Texas!
My brother in Plano is slowly becoming more and more into hockey. Although I'm not sure if he's going to go the Stars route, if I can persuade him to join the Orange and Black!
Favorite Team(s): Philadelphia Flyers, Philadelphia Phillies, Philadelphia Union (can't wait to finally see this club on the field!), University of Delaware football (and as a direct result, Joe Flacco's Baltimore Ravens)
Active Favorite Players: Mike Richards, Claude Giroux, Dan Carcillo, Bobby Ryan, Rod Brind'Amour (but he should hang em up already)
Retired Favorite Players: John LeClair, Eric Desjardins
Active Least Favorite Players: Sidney Crosby, Anyone In A Pittsburgh Jersey, Sean Avery, Darcy Tucker
Retired Least Favorite Players: Tie Domi, Matt Barnaby
Flyers fan since: The Legion of Doom. I think I turned 10 during that first season and my earliest Flyers memories are of that team. My family wasn't big into sports and I didn't really start to get serious about the Flyers until right before the lockout. I was so starved for hockey during that year (absence makes the heart grow fonder and all that) that when we finally got hockey back, I was officially an every-game fan. Since then, I've at least attempted to watch or listen to every Flyers game, including during The Season Of Which We Do Not Speak.
Location: Florida since 07/ New Jersey
Favorite Team(s): Flyers
Most Hated Team(s): Penguins, Devils, Capitals (I respect the Rangers)
Favorite Player(s): Desjardins, Primeau, Briere
Most Hated Player(s): Sidney Crosby is pretty much the only player I've ever hated - except maybe Matt Barnaby
Position: RW
Flyers fan since: early 90's. My dad is a Devils fan and tried converting me, I even saw the 1995 cup victory in person.
Favorite Team(s): Flyers and Liverpool in the sport where you actually use your feet.
Active Favorite Players: Giroux, Carter and Peter the Great.
Most disliked players: I've never been a big fan of Pronger and I wasn't thrilled when he got traded to Philly. Steve Ott is ******.
Flyers fan since: If you don't have a natural connection to a team or a city you have to pick the team with most awesome logo and jersey. Orange and black is sweeeeeet. Probably made that choice when I started playing NHL on my old Sega Mega Drive around 96/97.
