Boston would probably want way more than he is worth as he is worth more to them.

I am sure that the B's would want a lot for a 30 goal pwf. There are not many like him in the league anymore, he is the kinda player that the Wings need, badly. I would not package Brendan Smith but I would package Tatar, Lashoff, Hudler, Fil, Nyquist, Nestrasil plus picks for him, not all at once of course.

At this point I'd do Kulemin + Blacker/Ross

Similar point totals, both had breakout years netting 30.... Lucic brings more of the intangibles of a PWF than Kule does, and that's really what we need right now.

Anyway, silly as it is, that's my quick fantasy response - Kulemin +. I don't see how Boston would ever want to do that, though.

I wouldn't do Kulemin + Blacker/Ross. Kulemin straight up sure, but I'd like to see how Kulemin would do in the playoffs (cue the Leaf playoff jokes) as Lucic totally disappeared.

Blacker is looking great and could be a top 4 PMD PPQB that we need, and Ross just looks like he's going to be a great player in a Darcy Tucker mold.

This is probably up here only because how slow he was in the last 2 minutes of yesterday's game.

Move him to the western conference if you do, that's for sure, so take everyone in the east out of the sweepstakes. A team like anaheim would flourish with him. Imagine him on the lw with getzlaf and perry? Allowing ryan to bump down to the 2nd line! Wow! I'd say the return would need to include palmieri, schultz and sbisa which I don't think either team would do as those are three really good young players but none really established and its not like boston is rebuilding.

Maybe L.A. For penner, moller and voynov?

Edmonton for hemsky, petry and hamilton? Hemsky only has a year left.

To Calgary for Iginla? Calgary should rebuild anyways.

To Stl for oshie?

To Nash for Suter? Or Ellis and Josi?

Columbus for Voracek, Moore and Goloubef?

Id do Oshie for Lucic, a line of Lucic - Backes - Stewart would be scary

You'd need to give to get.

Lucic is playing hurt, and has been for most if not all of the post-season.

When push comes to shove you're upgrading in Lucic over Kulemin, so why wouldn't you need to add? Yes, Ross and Blacker are solid tier-2 prospects, which is why one of them is included.

I've been trying to trade for Lucic in NHL 11, I'm Toronto. Offered MacArthur and Komisarek (both have good value in the game) and 3 1st round picks.
He's untradeable...

I would love to have him on the Ducks

I'm not particularly good at valuing yet, but I was thinking the other day how good of a fit Lucic would be on the St. Louis Blues.

Lucic - McDonald - Backes
Perron - Berglund - Stewart
Steen - Oshie - D'Agostini
Porter - Sobotka - Crombeen

Probably would be one of the most punishing forward groups in the league.

Lucic is an interesting player in that I don't consider him a star by any stretch, but for what it would take to get him out of Boston he might as well be. I feel like he'd be the absolute last player Boston would trade.

Fair value from the Leafs is probably Kulemin, or Kulemin plus a minor prospect like D'Amigo. But from Boston's perspective, it would likely start at Kulemin and Gardiner, maybe MacArthur as well. Lucic is a Bruin for life in my opinion.

The Mule straight up.....actually I'd prefer to deal other players as I'd love to see a playoff line of Lucic-Datsyuk-Franzen. You couldn't have the puck if your're the other team...or if you did, keep your head up.

Or better yet, keep your head down - that way if they hit you its illegal.

Who's to say Lucic would have the same success here as Kuli has? Or have the same success as he's had in Boston?

Unless it's a #1 centre coming the other way, Kulemin stays. I agree we'd probably need to add, but I'd rather we keep Kuli.

And who's to say Kulemin has similar success in a blue and yellow uni?

It's always an assumption, every time. Would have thought that was so obvious it's not needed to be said.

I guess we agree to disagree. I'd upgrade Kulemin with Lucic faster than a McDonalds patron upgrades the fries size.

I didn't say it, but yeah, Boston would be thinking the same as us.

Lucic is as fast as Laraque was his final year and his goal total is insanly increased by the team surounding him.

He's tough, yes... But what else?

While I agree that Pac + Weber might not be wise for Montreal, I think you're undervaluing Lucic.

Boston fans are conspicuously absent from this discussion, have to assume that says more than any comment they could make.

He isn't going anywhere.

Thing is who do we have who crashes the net ? Patches ? Yes but will he be the same player after that injury.

Lucic is the player lacking in the Habs top 6.
