OT - No need to hate the Rangers anymore: Hollweg to Toronto

Well, looks like New York decided to trade their annoying little **** players or just plain get rid of them.

First Avery is gone, and now they dealt Ryan "I'm a chicken**** who refuses to come back at Kovalev" Hollweg to the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Gives me reason to hate the Leafs even more, but now, when we play New York, what is it going to be? Skill vs. Skill? No more real hate there? Ugh. I actually think I'm gonna be bored watching Hab/Ranger games.

The five goal comebacks will still be exciting.

Well, think about it for a sec, he is now with the enemy, the elder Leafs or the Air Foster home.

I hope Laraques puts that cowardly dirtball out of hockey.

Nothing would have happened anyways with Laraque.

Rangers aren't making the POs next year, my prediction on the ''deception of the season''.

I found these line on the Leafs board

Tlusty - Steen - Kulemin
Grabovski - Antropov - Blake
Hagman - Stajan - Mayers
Hollweg - Moore - Bell

I must say.. HOLY ****... "poor" Leafs.

Speaking of which did anyone manage to get that game to share with good quality? I'd love to watch that one over again.

Avery is a good hockey player, Hollweg can throw the fists pretty well when he feels like it.

If you have to hate a team to enjoy a game, you have issues.

Well Tlusty, Kulemin, Grabovski, and Steen are only going to get better...Antropov emerged as a somewhat steady offensive player last year...Blake probably won't be so snake-bitten (he was like 3rd in shots or something)...and Hagman might have another miracle near-30 goal season. I know things look ****** for them but if the kids have breakout seasons and the veterens all have near-career seasons, I could see an extremely far fetched scenario where Toronto finishes 9th/8th in the East

But don't get me wrong, if all those "if"s don't add up they could easily be 15th in the East

While I agree their 1st two lines are abysmal, that 3rd line is pretty good and probably better than ours right now.

The leafs must've felt they were lacking toughness & grit. Unfortunetly Hollweg likes to hit from behind but having Laraque around will hopefully keep him in line.

I dont know about that.

Depends who's gonna play center on the third line, but the wingers will probably be 2 of the guys: S. Kostitsyn or Higgins or Latendresse.

Lets say..

Tanguay-Plekanec-Kovalev
A. Kost-Koivu-S. Kost
Higgins-Chipchura-Latendresse

I like our third line better.

Hollweg to Toronto. Hmmmm. For this they needed the genius of a Cliff Fletcher?

How embarrassing

I'd say you don't know what you have in Laraque if you think that's a possibility.

Yah I was scared they would have a chance at Tavares for a second there but now that they have PonikarovskY, I feel better.

Laraque and Hollweg have played in the same division for a year and a half now and haven't fought once that I can remember. Not Laraque's style to fight a guy like Hollweg, you're going to have to depend on someone else. With how good the Hab's power play has been I'd figure most people would welcome a guy who cripples his own team at the wrong moments with penalties like Hollweg.

In Laraque, we have someone who can beat the living **** out of Hollweg. And thats a fact.

Wether he comes to the act of doing it or not is a diffrent story.

Sadly for the Leafs they have a very good defence and will likely be 9th or 10th in the East again.

Some programs have spell check, HF has this guy I guess? Wonder what the pay is like? A spell check that insults you while correcting your spelling? definitely a niche market there!
