I know this is extremely early to be asking this but I want to get a headstart on keeping track of some of the up and coming kids.
Besides Tavares, who will most likely go #1 overall in nexts years draft, what other kids are worth keeping an eye on?
Viktor Hedman, a defenseman from Sweden may go ahead of Tavares. He is already 6'5 and playing in the SEL. Brayden Schenn is a favorite of mine, Luke's brother is already putting up very good numbers in the WHL (28 goals, 43 assists, 71 points in 68 games) and has great size...he plays the wing where Luke is a d-man.
Anyone still feel Nokelainen was worth that 2nd round pick, considering that this is supposed to be a deep draft?
I was never crazy about it, but the situation necessitated it last year. If Bergeron doesn't go down, the B's keep a second-rounder in this draft, but I'd gladly pay a second-rounder to have a guy like Nokie step in last year.
There's more trade bait this season for Chiarelli, and I have to imagine he'll be adding a draft pick or two.
and a possible steal of the draft. Anton Lander, Lander centers Paajarvi at Timra and has top 5 talent but many have him pegged to be middle of the first round. Granted still almost a year before the draft.
