Brodziak in maybe the biggest cake walk of any of these speculations. He's Stoll with better 5-on-5 ability and 25% the salary. Just work on the faceoffs and he could be a very good no.3 center.

pouliot vs. brodziak

i'm betting pouliot gets the first look because he might bring more O but brodziak was good no matter who he played with last year.

He doesn't have Stoll's shot though.

you mean the one that rips 100mph wide of the net or the one where he breaks his stick before he gets the shot off?

That second line of yours is full of smerfs. If Gagner and or Cogliano have a sophmore slump they could be 4th line in a hurry. Broziak may find himseelf up at #2

This is the position on the team that I worry about most.

Probably because I think Pouliot is the best fit.

Imagine if we had the option of slotting Peca there instead...

Or Brodziak could slump and find himself out of the lineup all together. Lots of things will happen in the season, and its doubtful that predicted lines, even from the coaches will last beyond the seasons first game.

Pouliot
a third scoring line of Penner - Pouliot - Schremp/Brule looks pretty solid to me.

leaving our checking/shutdown line as Moreau - KB - Pisani

Yeah, but I think the real debate is whether pouliot or brodziak is a better fit. MacT was heard saying that Brodziak "was not producing 4th line numbers." I personally think this would be best, considering that Pouliot is probably superior against tough opposition:

Penner-Brodziak-Schremp
Moreau-Pouliot-Pisani
Stortini
