Jillson to Balashikha (KHL)

According to several websites (incl. eurohockey.net), Jeff Jillson has signed a one-year contract with MVD Balashikha of the KHL.

More insignificant NHL and AHL players looking for a possible final pay day. The KHL is going to be the "Arizona" is you will...(retirement home) of hockey

Every shift he took was an insult to anyone who ever paid for a Monsters' ticket, bought Monsters' merchandise, watched a game on TV, or listened to a game on radio. He was, quite possibly, the worst player in the AHL last year. There has never been a player that I have ever seen in 15 years of having tickets that was out of position more in his own end as Jillson. He would have been the leading scorer in the league last year if he could have got credit for the goals he scored directly (off his own stick) and indirectly (being completely lost in his own zone) into his own net.

overcoming the loss of both jillson and wyatt smith in one summer is gonna be tough. i mean, we have some good young talent, but its a lot to expect young guys to fill a void that big..
