I couldn't believe my eyes. I didn't know Radijokevic was the kind of guy to throw, but I was wrong. He looked eager, like he'd done it before. For all I know, he probably has; I just didn't expect to see it.

Not the greatest of fights, but he and Hilbert seemed pretty evenly matched. I didn't think anybody really won that one. I'd call it a draw.

Hilbert. Major weak move by Hilbert to not take off teh bucket when Branko shed his visor.

Branko's been a 3 fight a year type guy. Before this season he didn't use the visor, but i think with Ference (sp?) getting it in the eye, he put it on after seeing that. He got throttled by Jovo right before putting on the visor, glad to see he'll still drop em.

I'm not entirely sure about this, but didn't Rado have a fight with Recchi a couple seasons ago? Think it was in the Halloweeen game against the Yotes.

Burke keeps making solid saves, but then lets in soft goals.

I think you're thinking of Ossi Vannannen last year. Branko didn't have a shield last year.

Yeah, checked Recchi's fight card and it's Vannannen. I knew it was someone whose name I couldn't say or spell.

14 goals in 3 games, when's Esche back? maybe we can bring hacket out of retirment. I didn't like the guy the first time here, sure as hell don't like him this time back

LeClair is quickly returning to form. 4-3.

Once they get their defense back together I think they'll go on a long unbeaten streak.

Thank you!! I'm sick of the recycled Flyers!
Oh let's get Burke, becausae he's esche's buddy! F that! Let's get a god damn goalie that can stop a puck. Not a guy who hasn't won a playoff series since the Regan administration!

Thanks for another great spring, Boobie!

It won't matter when he's backing up Esche in the playoffs.

Kolzig has a .971 save percentage in the last four games (including NJ and OTT).

Oh well.

Hey, Burke is improving, four goals down from five and five.

And this is what we got rid of Comrie for.

I've never been a Burke fan, but I think he's getting too much of the blame here. The injuries have really started to catch up with the Flyers these last couple of games, and Burke has been hung out to dry repeatedly.

They gave up their most shots of the year tonight, to a very good and very high scoring Boston team. The Flyers are lucky that this wasn't a more embarrassing score then it was.

If anyone saw 'Miracle'...

Jim Craig: what?!?!? coach, it's my net!
Herb Brooks: The Soviets scored ten goals last game, its everybody's net!

hahah just thought that was a great line from the movie.

I'm not blaming Burke completely for the three losses but my patience is wearing extremely thin.

Dirt, On Monday Burke was the best. Remember they got a new attitude.

Well, Burke surely hasn't been his "best" these last couple of games, but I think a lot of people (not you, specifically) are pointing the finger at him for these losses. It's funny how the goaltenders are ALWAYS the scapegoat around here...

Though I do agree that we need Esche back. I don't feel like Burke is really more than a backup.

I agree most of the blame should be given to the D, Burke made some very good saves tonight as well as in the 2 blowouts this is some of the worst coverage i've ever seen and I cant remember the last time we let up over 40 shots.

Yep.

Only people who are completely diluted or ignorant will blame Burke for these last 3 games. He had has ZERO support. Period. He's let in MAYBE one or two soft goals, but all the other ones were terrible defensive plays. Patrick Roy in his prime would have given up the same number. We gave up over 40 SOGs today. Was that Burke's fault?

People seem to get twisted in Nittymakii's play, and forget that the defense in front of him was absolutely STELLAR when he played. I think he had only 1 game out of the 3 where he faced more than 20 shots. He played very well, but his performance was augmented by the play of our defense.

Burke has been hung out to dry and has made all the saves he's supposed to, and some he shouldn't. It's just that there have been so many chances that have been excellent against him, it seems like he's struggling worse than he is.

I agree. Though I do also agree that he could've made a couple of those saves, the D has looked HORRIBLE in front of him, certainly not the way they played in front of Nitty, imo (though the Devils did have a lot of shots, I still think the Flyers played with plenty of passion). For instance, the one where the guy basically got his own rebound... I would've liked to have seen Pitkanen tie that guy up a bit better... same with the 4th goal. But, fingerpointing right now won't help matters much. I think we all know Burke is a very solid goalie, but really, this team is hurtin'. I doubt that Zhamnov will make a big difference but I would love to eat my words.

I still say give Nitty a shot again. He's been fine before, and I think the team just plays different when he's in there. Maybe they're not 100% confident in his abilities, but I swear they just hustled a bit more when he was in net.

All i can say is thank god to the Washington Caps for erasing this loss for us.

Guys, we have too many injured players, and too many addons every day...imagine what we'll be like with the likes of JR, Prims, Zhamnov, Desjardins, Seids, Brash, and Chico back in the lineup..
