Yes and Yes.

Man, did the movie not only BUTCHER the Elektra storyline (They were so 180 degrees on it, that the only thing they got right was the shot of Elektra getting skewered), but they also pooched the chance for a proper BORN AGAIN movie as a sequel.

Oh well, at least INCREDIBLE HULK showed it's possible to just ignore the previous.

Anyway, the correct answer to the question "what comic book character/series would you like to see on the big screen?" is, obviously, BOOSTER GOLD.

I loved Ghost Rider as a kid. I hated the idea of Nicholas Cage as Johnny Blaze, and I hated it more when I saw the movie. Just something about the hairplugs, and the huge schnauz....good actor though for different roles

Come on boys, four pages and no Wonder Woman. Too bad the Josh Whedon direction got shut down. Super strong, big tracks o' land, thigh high boots, 'magic' lariot, and invisible plane. Do not pass go, here is my $12.00

On the comic book movie subject, check out this link lol:

Speaking of Joss Whedon BEL... did you watch Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along-Blog? not sure if it's still available or not but if you're a Whedon fan... it's gold.

Love his work. Haven't seen Dr. Horrible ... must search it out. Thanks for the tip, GF.
Really too bad his Wonder Woman project didn't work out.

Count the deaths in the movie. That was one of the best parts about watching that version of the movie.

The Immortal Iron Fist. I always thought the character was lame, then a friend loaned me vol 1 of the new series and it turned out to be great. There is supposedly a movie version stuck in development hell right now.

Green Lantern would be another pick. But I think it may work better as a TV series, if for no other reason than to give it adequate time to deal with all the complexities and interesting elements of the Green Lantern Corps -- make it an ensemble show and use Hal, John, Guy, Kilowog and even Gnort

But yes, the one I've been waiting for is Wonder Woman. I haven't bought a WW comic in a few years, but I guess growing up on reruns of the old Lynda Carter show left an impression, because she remains one of my favourite characters.

And Guy is right -- Dr. Horrible was gold. Here's hoping they release a DVD soon.

IMO it's pretty much a guarantee that we'll be seeing it on DVD, now that the videos have been taken down from the site as of sunday evening.

"I hate the homeless..."

*turns over cue card*

"...ness."

On a side note, this web comic was fairly amusing as well:
