It's actually not THAT bad value considering they surely weren't going to get a 1st and a lot of teams hesitated (Green Bay for example) to give up a 2nd.

I agree to an extent, he's an aging player but in my opinion he is still one of the best DE in the game. Maybe i'm biased, I grew up watching Taylor and Zach Thomas play for the phins. They're both gone now. It'll be wierd watching them in different uniforms...

I guess the Panthers aren't the only south Florida team that gets ripped off in trades!!! This is a horrible return. He still has a few great seasons in him.

You were the first person I thought of when I read the article.

I'm ok with this trade.

He's said he wants to play one more season, not a few more. I absolutely love everything Taylor has done for this team and how well he played, I'm glad he's going to a contender and I'm glad we got something for him.

Thats all, what do you mean thats all? We were looking for a early draft pick at the draft for JT and noone would give it. Now WAS got desperate and we were able to not only get a 2nd rounder, but an extra pick in 2010. It was obvious JT did not want to be here anymore, and Parcells and Co. got an extra pick for him. Yes it sucks hes not on the Fins anymore, but to add an extra pick on top of the 2nd, it was a great move. This is what happens when you actually people in charge who know what their doing.

While he's still playing at a high level, the guy is 34 and may only play 1 more year. Yes, he's said he reserves the right to change his mind, but even at that it's 2 years left on his contract then he's off to Hollywood. Randy Moss got a 4th round pick, so I was actually shocked when I saw the extra 6th rounder in 2010. Good deal for the Dolphins. JT was no longer going to be around when this team would be good again anyways so getting a 2nd round pick is smart & good value for a rebuilding team.
