No Habs-Rangers game in ESPY's best game nominee

I know I shouldn't expect a lot from that award show, but not making it at least a nominee is a joke...it was better than at least 2 of those games (the NCAA one and the Super Bowl game...) oh and it seems the NFL always wins those awards...

Actually, both the COTC and the other comeback (the Rangers one) were absolutely awesome games.

At least Rick Nash was nominated and got about 1/4 of a second of camera time while sitting in the audience.

Actually IMO it was a terrible game. Both teams played terribly for a long stretches in that game. The Habs had a terrible start, the Rangers a terrible finish.

It was one of the best comebacks of the year, but I don't think it was one of the best games of the year. It wasn't even the best game of the NHL season.

This.

I think Game 5 of the finals, or Game 6 Dallas-SJ were MUCH better games.

Why is it I knew this topic was created by a Montreal fan before I even opened it?

Actually, I thought Game 5 of the Cup Finals should've been there but it's US we're talking about.

The only hockey clip, I saw was, Rick Nash's goal......Was there anything else in the whole two hour show? I'm sure hockey in US is more famous than that........Am I right or wrong?

You'd be wrong lol. But ESPN especially doesn't care about hockey so it isn't a perfect representation but unfortunately pretty damn close...

Wrong.

Hate to break it to the Canadians but until the league corrects it's mistake and heads back to ESPN, they could really careless about the sport.

These days, it's not even the 4th major sport among most fans. At best, it's in the discussion.

Frankly, I thought this was common knowledge

I'd take game 5 of the finals over the Habs comeback any day.

You are severly underrating the superbowl if you didn't think that's worthy of winning. Both habs rangers games in montreal were awesome games to watch but there's not a chance they are better then the superbowl. I like the patriots and hate the giants but I can't stress how exciting that game was and to top it off it was for the league championship while in a greater context both habs/rangers games were meaningless.

Yeah, the Superbowl was one o fthe best football games I've seen in a long time. It deserved to win.

You shouldn't expect much of that show but ESPN was right as far as Habs vs Rangers not being nominated it didn't deserve to be ...

It was not better than the Superbowl or the NCAA game that's just a hockey fan bias. The only game that SHOULD have got a nomination for Best Game Award was game 5 of the Stanley Cup Finals and that's it as far as hockey goes.

Don't hold your breath about hockey getting any love on ESPN or the ESPYs short of something so freakish or amazing that it's too unreal to ignore. We can appreciate amongst ourselves...screw the mother ship.

ESPN Rather show clips or Shaq, Labron and Bryant trying to be rappers than any NHL hockey game.

Yeah if you don't think the Superbowl game deserved to win, you're dumb.

Best sports movie Semi-pro? Slapshot should be nominated every damn yr!

Best sports athlete: Tiger Woods?

So lets me see...lets say John Daley was better than Tiger last yr and still weighed the same would he be considered the best athlete? When i think of an athlete i think of football, basketball, hockey and baseball players...not golfers...Michael Phelps would have something to say about their nomination.

Josh Hamilton FTW!!!!!!!!!
