Nice post LT. The reasonable Gagner prediction makes up for the outlandish Hemsky prediction.

Yeah I think the Gagner prediction is a lillte low while the Hemsky prediction is a little high. I'm thinking 80 for Hemsky while 65 for Gagner. I'm pretty one of those players point total will tie into the other players point total. Gagner got 49 points pretty much through osmosis last year, to say he is only going to improve by 4 points is a little outlandish.

The Hawks should have won that poll. Huet and Campbell (cobntracts aside) are bigger additions to the Hawks than Cole and Brule. Both Campbell and Huet should be a big part of the Hawks going forward. Cole might not even be around after this year and Brule probably won't even see playing time in Edmonton to start the season.

I agree with you on this, however I do believe you need to add Visnovsky into the mix. And there's a case of "addition by subtraction" that is happening in Edmonton. Gone are three players that simply weren't living up to their ends of the deal: Torres, Pitkanen, Stoll. For each of them, it's been a couple of years since their peak seasons. Now the ice time goes to the kids.

Chicago is also at/over their cap space. This may handcuff them at the trade deadline. Edmonton has $2.4M in space, per nhlnumbers.com.
