Quick Lineup Question

Hey Folks,

I am having a little debate with a buddy who is a Leafs fan (I know, don't ask ), and I want to know if the lineup below is what the Canadiens would likely go with to start the season, assuming they do not sign or acquire anyone else. Let's assume they are going to carry 2+7+13.

-----------------------------
Price, Carey (G)
Halak, Jaroslav (G)
-----------------------------
Bouillon, Francis (D)
Dandenault, Mathieu (D)
Komisarek, Mike (D)
Markov, Andrei (D)
O'Byrne, Ryan (D)
Hamrlik, Roman (D)
Gorges, Josh (D)
-----------------------------
Kostitsyn, Sergei (F)
Begin, Steve (F)
Higgins, Christopher (F)
Tanguay, Alex (F)
Kostitsyn, Andrei (F)
Koivu, Saku (F)
Plekanec, Tomas (F)
Lapierre, Maxim (F)
Latendresse, Guillaume (F)
Chipchura, Kyle (F)
Kovalev, Alexei (F)
Laraque, Georges (F)
Kostopoulos, Tom (F)
-----------------------------

Any thoughts? Thanks for the help!

Belle is most probably minor league depth. Perezhogin is in Russia. Insert Chipchura, and Dandenault probably is the 7th d man at the moment though I doubt the staff is thinking that way.

Why do you have "Perezhogin, Alexander (F)" listed as a roster player?

Relax, see the reply after yours. I am sure you can forgive someone for one oversight on a roster list , especially given the Habs are not my team.

if Sundin doesn't sign expect us to carry 23 players (the NHL max)

No reason not too... we don't need to go down to 22 as we would with Sundin to save cap space

I'd bet that means that you shift Dandenault to forward and carry another D

As it stands we may sign Brisebois... if not the competition is either

a) Valentenko beats out Bouillion for the 6th spot, Bouillion becomes number 7 (tank won't stay in montreal if hes 7)
b) Competition between Henry, Belle for the 7th spot.

I've watch the habs for a long time and I've personally never heard of him. Maybe he was a bulldog signing? anyways I don't think wikipedia is a good source. as cited here (wikipedia):

Quote:
Wikipedia is not a publisher of original thought
Main article: Wikipedia:No original research

Wikipedia is not a place to publish your own thoughts and analyses or to publish new information not previously published. Per our policy on original research, please do not use Wikipedia for any of the following:

1. Primary (original) research such as proposing theories and solutions, original ideas, defining terms, coining new words, et cetera. If you have done primary research on a topic, publish your results in other venues such as peer-reviewed journals, other printed forms, or respected online sites, and Wikipedia will report about your work once it becomes part of accepted knowledge. Not all information added to Wikipedia has to be from peer-reviewed journals, but please strive to make sure that information is reliable and verifiable. For example, citing book, print, or reliable web resources demonstrates that the material is verifiable and is not merely the editor's opinion.

2. Original inventions. If you or a friend invented the word frindle, a drinking game, or a new type of dance move, it is not notable enough to be Wikipedia article material until multiple, independent, and reliable secondary sources report on it. Wikipedia is not for things made up one day.

3. Personal essays that state your particular feelings about a topic (rather than the consensus of experts). Wikipedia is supposed to compile human knowledge. It is not a vehicle to make personal opinions become part of human knowledge. In the unusual situation where the opinions of an individual are important enough to discuss, it is preferable to let other people write about them. Personal essays on topics relating to Wikipedia are welcome in your user namespace or on the Meta-wiki. There is a Wikipedia fork at Wikinfo that encourages personal opinions in articles.

4. Discussion forums. Please try to stay on the task of creating an encyclopedia. You can chat with folks about Wikipedia-related topics on their user talk pages, and should resolve problems with articles on the relevant talk pages, but please do not take discussion into articles. Also, bear in mind that talk pages exist for the purpose of discussing how to improve articles; they are not mere general discussion pages about the subject of the article, nor are they a helpdesk for obtaining instructions or technical assistance. If you wish to ask a specific question on a topic, Wikipedia has a Reference Desk, and questions should be asked there rather than on talk pages. Wikipedians who wish to hold casual discussions with fellow Wikipedians can use the IRC channels, such as #wikipedia. Note that this is an IRC channel, not a message board. There are also a number of early-stage projects that attempt to use a wiki for discussion and debate.

5. Journalism. Wikipedia should not offer first-hand news reports on breaking stories. Wikipedia is not a primary source. However, our sister project Wikinews does exactly that, and is intended to be a primary source. Wikipedia does have many encyclopedia articles on topics of historical significance that are currently in the news, and can be updated with recent verified information.

I do remember someone called Sergei Perezin or something like that... might be Alexei Berezin or Sergei Perzogin.

I might be mixed up with Rocky Biddle though. But one of them used to play defence for the Alouettes. Hell of an arm.
