Martin Rucinsky to Sparta Prague

Martin Rucinsky is most likely done in NHL. He's 37 y.o. and returns to Czech Republic to play for Sparta.

Sparta looks pretty good, they have Tomas Popperele, Petr Nedved, David Vyborny and now Martin Rucinsky.

Here's a link:

Good luck to Martin.

Holy crap that team is old. Nedved's 36, Vyborny's 33, Rucinksy's 37... I hope that's not their top line.

Even though Vyborny is not excactly a blooming youngster, I wouldn't call him old. He is still in the best hockey years. Nedved and Rucinsky on the other hand...

It'll be interesting to see how Popperele does after having that massive knee injury last year.

Seriously people, all the guys who are signing with the exception of a handful are old or bumbs and not NHL caliber anymore.......no chance in hell Rucinsky was going to sign anywhere...........a younger player is the better option now with the speed of the game and the cap

SO anywho good luck to the veterans or fringe NHL players........still will be a pretty good league

And yes the NHL takes more of their stars than viceversa

Haha that guy still exist? I remember he was on the Habs when I was a kid =P Actually, the KHL is doing a good job at opening spots for young prospects and taking out the finished veterans from the NHL.

we steal them when they're young, and then you steal them back when they're old.

Nice to see the NHL finally give up its strange Martin Rucinsky addiction. The writing's on the wall, Jan Hlavac.

I remember when I honestly thought that Rucinsky was going to be a 40 goal guy. He had great wheels, and a couple of the early years in MON when he flirted with being a PPG player before injuries starting taking their toll.

Rucinsky was great in his first stint with St. Louis, but the second stint didn't work out so well. I hope he enjoys a successful end to his career back home.

His new team had better play him on their top line or he'll take his usual mid season vacation a little early.
