Murray could be a PP specialist at this stage of his career, and if we don't land Sundin, well....we need a nice right shot.

Send a message via ICQ to Dutchy
It's unbelievable to see how many people were dropped on their head as a kid.

I pass, he's not good enough to be a Bruins, he's not good enough to be a Habs.

I can't see why anyone would pick him up when they could sign him for half of what he's making in a few days.

I'd rather use Lats, than that slow guy.

We should sign him to a two way deal, 700k, he'd never take it, but that's pretty much all he's worth....or Tampa might get him.

Eklund will announce in his update that BOS is making room to sign Sundin.

He made a career for himself from being on Thornton's wing for a few seasons... I don't expect anyone to pick him up.

Boston's trash is not our treasure, we have no need for him.

I want to know why Mathieu Dandenault hasn't been put on waivers yet??? Someone in here said that the buyout period was over, but the Bruins put Murray on waivers and now today they are talking about buying him out....so if thats the case....why didn't we buyout Dandenault yet? He is the only player on our roster who doesn't deserve a spot. He is a brutal forward and an even worse defencemen. We have lots of other players that are more valuable than him. I don't care if he is a veteran who has won Stanley Cups.....the bottom line is that he sucks and we need to get rid of him and his over priced contract to make room for someone more useful.

I always liked Murray but he is old & slow and doesn't fit in with our style of play. I'll take a pass on him.

Wish Murray would be faster though.....it just doesn't go with our speed and skill system....

So how come Bruins fans can have that gift and we didn't have it with Dandenault???

Bruins were finally lucky to have Wideman in that arbitration process. It's because of that that they were able to get rid of Murray...
You really want the Habs to waste 4 million on that guy ?

Dandenault is under contract and still can be used as a number 14 forward or number 7 d-man. He's expensive, but less than Niinimaa.

If Gainey can trade him, even for a late-round pick, that's fine.

I would like the Habs to get Philippe Boucher from the Stars. He would complement Hamrlik well on the second pairing, and he can play on PP too with his big shot.

If we need a PP specialist it would be on the point to replace Streit, I don't think Murray is a PP QB.

Nowhere does I mention that I WANT him. I was bringing the news to everybody's attention. My only and main point and it's not even a question of if he'd be good or not, is that while Ryder could be a thread to us, how about giving them back the same medicine and picking Murray so he could be a threat to them.....But it's for the fun of it and in the end, it wouldn't be a good fit, not anymore.

Then, the guy just sees his contract being bought out. You really think that he'll end up having a 4 million contract?

Bruins case is a different one. They had an arbitration case with Wideman that was scheduled to take place this week or next week. But they decided to come to an agreement before. Even if they signed a contract, the rule is that whenever a guy is listed in an arbitration case, signed or not signed prior to it, you have a period when you can send guys through waivers AND buy them out.

We didn't have anybody scheduled for arbitration. We can't buy anybody out. We should've done it a long time ago.
