To Leafs- Legwand / 1st Rounder

Why would Nashville do this, it doesn't adjust a need. We have enough goalies and defensemen.

So now Toronto is giving up on another goalie prospect? Smart move. From having the great future goalies of Rask and Pogge to.....Reimer and Rolheiser?

Value's okay but we need more top six forwads. Swapping Legwand and Steen would be a lateral move in that respect.

Nashville gives a polite, "No, thank you."

After August 15th he would, but til then he can be traded without consent.

And there sure are a lot of Leafs proposals lately.

Nashville does this why?

And Kubina need not give his consent.

Legwand is a huge upgrade over Steen.

I know. I was just saying that in terms of acquiring another top six forward, regardless of talent, it would be a lateral move.

This guy keeps making totally random proposals that help neither team and just don't make sense.

Steen will be better than Legwand. Makes no sense for the Leafs since we are building for the future.

Well at least this one wasn't as bad as Rick Nash for Steen, McCabe and a 3rd.

I don't think there's a team in the league that would give up a 1st for any package centering around Kubina... The teams picking late don't need him, the teams picking early prefer a potential franchise player, and any team not falling into those categories is at/near their cap (salary or self-imposed).

Heck, Toronto does this why? ...the 2 best players are Kubina and Steen in the deal, no offense to Legwand who is good in his own right, but, Kubina for Legwand okay/fair in my opinion (IF they needed a d-man), then Steen AND Poggie for what will be a pretty late 1st is beyond stupid.

a 1st for Kubina is peanuts ...and not enough if he's going to a 'good' team and it's a late 1st rounder, and anyone who may be in the lottery will not trade thier 1st regardless (unless they are stupid ...aka Leafs sometimes).
