To Leafs- Trent Hunter / 4th Rounder 09

To Islanders- Kubina

Sorry about my crappy threads that make no sense and those will stop, but I just had do this one because during the trade deadline there was talk about McCabe going to the islanders for hunter. but mcCabe wouldn't go but now kubina is able to get traded now and he's worth more than mcCabe so i added a 4th rounder maybe it could be a 3rd. But please don't keep bringing up how all my threads suck cause ino but i promise now to make prospals if the make sense and even to other teams sorry.

Y'know how people say to stop making proposals? They mean it.

i think 8 proposals were enough for 2 days....there is no need for you to make another. we get it, you have fun doing this, but STOP.

Hunter was locked up for the next couple of years. I think they intend on keeping him.

Agreed with the above posters...Hunter's going nowhere and if the Isles were to bring in Kubina they'd have to move a defenseman (right now the defense is not very good but it's densely populated with guys on one way contracts.)

I would never EVER trade Kubina for Hunter. You Isles fans are crazy. There's a reason why he's got such a cheap contract.

I was shocked that Hunter didn't test UFA. Sure he wanted to stay with the team, but it seemed like he left a lot of money on the table. Someone would've given him 3M, maybe even 4M per year on the open market. Heck, he should've did what Satan & Fedotenko did - take a short term deal with a team like Pittsburgh - and then maybe he gets Ryan Malone type money the following year?

That said, Kubina for Hunter addresses neither team's needs and Kubina still has more value.

No, they're surprised/disappointed that you were offered Kubina for Hunter and a 4th round pick and turned it down.

And I agree. The Leafs are getting the raw end of the deal here. I think they can get much better value for Kubina. Hunter's not a bad hockey player, but him plus a 4th won't get you a top pairing defenseman.

Is it possible to get a ban for making such bad proposal's?

Honestly, I say this for everyone's benefit you've posted 8 threads in 2 days..You've been a member for what under a month? You have to stop it's getting really annoying and there is no though into your trades.. I'm guessing your ideal of having people listening to you is to make threads but honestly you making a fool of yourself and killing your rep. Which is already pretty low as of now.If you want people to listen to you just post in a thread not making over 10 im guessing now..I tried to say this as nicely as possible without getting banned lol...Next time you make a retarded thread I might not be able to help myself..

Just confused, I guess.

They're talking about the NYI fans that say they wouldn't deal a second/third liner for a top pairing d-man. And those Leaf fans are right, it's a bad deal for the Leafs.

Since the lock-out Hunter has produced at a 0.46 clip. Kubina has produced at a 0.47 clip. This past season it was 0.55 to 0.50 for Kubina.

We've got a ton of third line types, it'd be beyond stupid to trade Kubina for another one.

the only reason i wouldn't take this deal is because we have an abundance of defenseman after signing streit, so why would we send a forward for another defenseman

a better counter would be:

to TOR: Andy Sutton and a 3rd round pick
to NYI: Pavel Kubina

And that doesn't do Toronto any good because they have a ton of defensemen, thus the reason they're trying to move Kubina in the first place.

So neither team is willing to give up what either team wants.

Make all the trade proposals you like. Good, bad, or indifferent.. you are least trying to bring something to the board.

More logical might be Kubina for the 2nd rounder traded in the Schenn deal. Leafs really need that pick back, so they can use it as compensation on an RFA offer sheet. As it stands now, Leafs cannot even think about most RFA's.

So you want Kubina for that 2nd rounder straight up?

Are we talking about the same Kubina?

No, throw in Bates Battaglia too. Cause I like the name.

Actually straight up is not so absurd, but what else would Toronto need (other than Hunter)?

If Islanders fans don't like the deal and Leafs fans don't like the deal, it's can't be that bad a proposal, can it?

that puts garth in the drivers seat. i hope garth holds on to that pick until cliff gives in and over pays to get it back. and i mean over pays in a HUGE way!!! im not really sure what garth should ask for but, until he gets what he wants, that pick should be held hostage.
