Someone finally mentioned former Colts running back Benjamin Gay...good to see...

Former San Diego Chargers running back (circa 1991) Marion Butts, when I was little I would always get a chuckle out of that one...

I went to school with a Steve Long Wong...and an Anita Poon...

EDIT: no mention of former Leafs goalie Peter Ing?

Barack Obama sounds pretty stupid...

But nothing tops US volleyball player Bob Ctvrtlikhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ctvrtlik I remember him playing in the olympics and the poor TV anouncer called him just Bob)

There were shamefully stupid soviet names when they just combined parts of communist leaders' names or some sorts of propaganda. Thus, there were people named after Lenin, Stalin, tractors, 5-year plans, olympic games, revolution, harvest collection, party members and communist holidays. In fact, there were quite a lot girls named Tractorina, named after tractors. There was a name Лунио (Lunio) which literall said "Lenin is dead, but his ideas still live" in a transcribed way

It's just horrible for introductions.

"Hi, i'm Tyler"
Hi, i'm Gay.

Knew a guy with Hashish as a name. Hash for short. Was from India.
Haider(Sounded like Hi there, when pronounced), from someone from the same country.

Drew Peacock probably dwarfs all of the above names, though, in worst names i've ever heard. You can't even loudly say that name over the PA system. Must've been hell for that dude in grade school.

I worked with someone who named her son Dayne.

Which wouldn't be so bad if their last name wasn't Knight.
