Corey Murphy

What's the deal with this guy, is he still in the teams plans? Fla seems to have a load of d-men so is Murphy the odd man out?

Cory* Murphy.

But yea he seems to either be the 7th defensman or on his way out. He's already been put on the trading block along with Van Ryn but that is just to see if anything comes our way, if not then they will stay and we will find room.

I hope he stays as the no.7...I really liked how he played at the beginning of the season before his weird injury

He doesn't deserve a spot in the top six. His play in his own end is too suspect. He should be a PP specialist only, but if we can ship him out for a pick I think we definitely will.

You're being too kind. He's downright awful in his own end. He should have been recognized as a low cost but failed experiment and bought out.

But why buy him out when we can get a pick for him, or keep him as a cheaper 7th d-man than Van Ryn?

I'd rather keep Van Ryn, IF he's healthy...

Fine if we could get a pick but I don't see any GM offering anything for him and I don't want to see him on the ice or taking up a roster spot.

Does Cory have a one way or two way deal? Maybe we can just ship him off to Rochester, regardless of his contract. If its a one way, maybe someone can pick him up off the waiver wirer.

Yeah, but considering the last 3 years that is a big IF!

He has a 1-way deal, that was his big selling point for coming here from Finland. I would take him on the Amerks in a heartbeat. He's the puckmover the Amerks D currently lacks. He would also run the PP.
