I suspect if there is a surprise in the top 8, its probably going to be Colorado, Vancouver or Nashville, replacing one of Chicago, Minnesota or Edmonton. Hard for Phoenix to sneek in and 4 teams from the Pacific making the top 8. Vancouver would seem to have a good shot at breaking in just because the strength of their Division may be slightly weaker than others and they have a Vezina goalie that could steal a few games to get them in. To me, the team most likely to fall out of this top 8 is probably Minnesota.

I'm stunned by Chicago's strength. I mean over 81% is a little surprising for a team that didn't make it last year. I think they'll make it I'm just surprised at how many others did as well.

Am I the only one who thinks that Anaheim might not make the playoffs? I find it hard to believe that 89% of people voted that they would. I think they PROBABLY will, but I think they'll just sneak in.

Detroit
San Jose
Calgary
Dallas
Chicago
Edmonton
Anaheim
Columbus

Minnesota
Phoenix
Nashville
Colorado
St. Louis
Vancouver -- this one's tough though. Vancouver could conceivably win the division as well. But as of right now, I don't see them having anywhere near enough forward toughness, and while they have the skill, they're going to be this year's version of the Kings. High on skill, softer than butter...and they'll be walked all over.
