Plot to Overthrow NYR Management

I know we all have our opinions, and I've got mine. I've been a die-hard Rangers fan since '84, mostly out of spite for my father who would only take me to Devils games since it was "closer". Our team has got some problems, and we ALL have our own solutions. I'd just like to see what y'all think of mine. Carry on.

Keepers:

Goalie
Danny Blackburn--Next best thing to Richter
Jussi Markkanen--Solid backup

Center
Mark Messier--Need I say more?
Bobby Holik--Toughguy with a big mouth to back it up.
Jamie Lundmark--Young and talented. Dangerous combo.

Wing
Jaromir Jagr--You know who he is.
Chris Simon--Certified badass.
Matthew Barnaby--Can scrap and score.
Dan LaCouture--Grinder.
Alexei Kovalev--I know I know, but see below and you'll understand...

Defense:
Brian Leetch--Doesn't belong in any other uniform.
Greg de Vries--Hard hitter, playmaker.
Dale Purinton--Fort Wayne's biggest badass on skates.
Darius Kasparaitis--Skates, scores, checks, fights.
Vladimir Malakhov--Solid D.
Fedor Tyutin--Another young talent.
Jamie Pushor--Great enforcer.

TRADE:
Peter Nedved--go back to Pittsburgh.
Eric Lindros--Hasn't done s**t.
Pavel Bure--See comment on Eric Lindros.
Jan Hlavac--2nd time around sucked.
Martin Rucinsky--trade-bait.
Tom Poti--A HUGE disappointment, especially from an American born player.
Boris Mironov--time for the minors.
Jed Ortmeyer--underachiever.

FOR:
Adam Graves--G-R-A-V-Y!!!
Stephane Matteau--MATTEAU!!MATTEAU!!MATTEAU!!
Sergei Zubov--Still kickin'.
Niklas Sundstrom--Never did anything in another jersey.
Luc Robitaille--time for one last curtain call.
Alexander Karpovstsev--just for the sake of '94.
(ARE ANY OF YOU CATCHING MY DRIFT?)

Others to consider:
Bryan Marchment--scary, scary man.
Richard Park--SE Asia's gift to the greatest game on earth.
Mike Ricci--Old dawg, hard dawg. He can lead and get the job done.
Dan Cloutier--NEVER SHOULD HAVE TRADED HIM
Mike York--NEVER SHOULD HAVE TRADED HIM
Sandy McCarthy--NEVER SHOULD HAVE LET HIM GO
PJ Stock--Scrapper who can skate and pass.
Darren Langdon--a moose on crack.

Now, it is 7am and it very well could be the Jim Beam talking, but I think we could definitely trade our overpaid talent for our old-school Stanley Cup brethren from '94 and do a helluva lot better than we are right now. DISCUSS.

you suggest keeping messier who is one of our biggest problems. you think jamie pushor, sandy, langdon, and other old vets are stars....ortmeyer is not an underachiever hes better than half the old guys on the team. im glad youre not overthrowing ny management.

You're living in the past man. "Mark Messier--Need I say more?" Yes, please do say more. Do you really expect him to help us win in his present condition? Forget the name and the past and realize that he's not part of the teams future. It's time to move on. That means a big NO to Stephane Matteau as well.

You're also too tied up in the fighting aspect of the game. It's really not that important and it's not going to help us win anything. The fact that you call Jamie Pushor a "great enforcer" is pretty funny too but that's beside the point.

Worst of all, you crap on Ortmeyer who is probably the only player on this roster who brings it every night.

I could say more but thinking about this team for more then five minutes at a time gives me a headache.

How exactly is an undrafted free agent who earned a spot on an NHL roster through pure hard work an underachiever?

For that matter, how is Malakhov a solid D or Pushor an NHL d-man?
