Really, all the struggling he's been doing, he's overrated and is inconsistent. Zednik might be the Canadien's best player next to Theodore, and is a legit, proven goal scorer

Anyone would be misinformed if they were to say Anson Carter > Richard Zednik.

Zednik is a better pure scorer than Carter I think. Carter's production in Edmonton was mostly because he played on the PP, and a lot of Oiler fans say that he would score unimportant goals.

Plus, Carter is a lot softer than Zednik, and is relatively weak defensively (although Zednik isn't the best of defensive players either). I would take Zednik.

Zednick is the better pure goalscorer but I think Carter has the better overall game.

From the same person who said that Fedorov (and all other Russians suck at defense.)

Do you even watch hockey?

Seriously, Carter is about as soft as they come.

Whats so funny about it? I live in Edmonton, so watched a lot of Oiler games. Carter was so soft. Fans would complain that he wouldnt ever throw a hit.

I am also a Habs fan, so watch Zednik on a regular basis. He plays tough in the corners, and doesn't shy away from a physical game. He also drops the gloves when he has to. He's had a fight this year, and last year he dropped Chris Drury. I can't say the same from Carter. I think there is a misconception that Zednik is a pure finesse player, which he isn't. Any Habs fan will tell you that.

Carter is a better all around player while Zednik has better offensive talents. Tough to say who's better, I would say Zednik but not by much.

....

Not just all that, but Zednik is tough as hell to take the puck off of.

He seems really strong in his legs and thighs and you can see it in how he skates.
The main image I have of him is speeding down the wing, always going towards the boards, then sticking his arm out on the d-man, while dragging him the rest of the way..he's a tough guy to knock off the puck indeed.

Not just that, I think he's better and more talented. Got a really nice shot too.
