I really like both, but you have the money to buy the accord, go for it.

My reasons why I took the Altima:
More sporty look
Cheaper $$
Insurance is also cheaper $$
It has a BEAUTIFUL Behind (resembles the G35 a lot)

Let me know what you guys think.
In my lifetime I've owned 4 Hondas (3 of them Accords) and 3 Nissans, one of them an Altima (abeit a 1995).

No comparison on reliability, my Honda's were unbreakable. Nissans all gave some sort of trouble beyond regular wear and tear. Also no comparison on resale value , I was almost embarassed at how much money people were willing to pay for my Hondas. As such, from personal experience I am now a walking Honda-mercial.

I currently own the 2008 Accord Ex V6 Nav, have had it since January. It's fit, finish, comfort and performance (268HP) is up there with cars in way higher price categories. Took a friend of mine who owns a BMW 325 and when I showed him the voice command and Nav system he went into depression over how much he paid for the Beamer.

I also bought mine in Buffalo, so I knocked $9700 off the cost which makes it even a better value.

Why was my thread merged with this 1? It was not at all about buying a new car, more like If you had the option between an Altima Coupe and an Accord Coupe, which would u prefer....

Personally, for a first car(and this goes for a first motorcycle as well), I'd go for an old, reliable piece of crap like the Tercel and buy it manual transmission. There's no better way to properly learn to drive imo and the mistakes/unproper maintenance won't matter as much as it would on a newer, more expensive car.

Look at Peakoil and read for one or two hours.

Will then stabilize because:
  • solar panel;
  • wind;
  • other options;
will become more cost effective.
Also recession in US will be clearly there (already there) and in Europe.
It's all about offer, demand and replacement solutions.

So you Tercel that was costing 40$ to fill and is now costing 60$ will cost over 100$.
So if you fill your car once per two weeks, cost is be 2600$ per year.
Beautifull Trans-AM wil cost more than double and probably stay parked.

If you are in Montreal, you should look at communauto.

Over the next 12 months I give it a range of $90-$140 (Might be one quick rise to $155 but it will lower just a quickly). Average price will be around $110-$120.
Not only are my predictions correct more often than others on the board... but they make me alot of money.

This is the Montreal Canadiens Board, your lucky I didn't move your thread to the Lounge where it may belong in the first place.

Most users want to read about Montreal Canadiens Hockey and not buying cars... they'd go to other sites if they want cars.

I realize its the offseason.... but just like Cellphones... Cars get one thread and one thread only.
