They are both this color.

They start to look the same color if you squint enough, as well.

How does that work? Since our brain follows the pattern of the tiles, it flushes out the shadow created by the cylinder and just puts a pale tile in B?

^I don't get that one, they clearly appear to have distinct colors, what do I have to do to see it?

it seems our brain does the job... the light will always clearer be seen on a dark sky.. a grain of pepper will always be darker on a white paper..

you can hide the pieces around with your fingers.. and then you see its the same colour.. but always consider they degraded from top to down.. wich creates the illusion.

Wich mean sundin as always been a hab but we never noticed it.. ? by the way, the big green block is the canucks..

Coool !!!

Actually it's simple. The 4 dark tiles arround the B tile are 2 shades of gray because of the shadow. The part of those tiles in the shadow is a dark shade of gray making the B tile appear paler next to them.
The part of those tiles out of the shadows is paler making the A tile look darker.

The same effect goes for the white tiles.

Well the only way would be to do this. Delete the adjacent tiles.
All I did here was delete the area arround tiles A and B. I did not touch the tiles at all.

Not sure if you're serious or not... but the effect is legit. If you don't believe it put the picture in photoshop and compare the colors numerically.

It's really one amazing optical illusion.

The top left corner of the tile above B is the same shade of gray as A. The lower right corner of the same tile (in the shadow) is darker than B, because of... you guessed it, the shadow.

With that being said, I wonder if Sundin saw HIS shadow recently... that could mean 6 more weeks of waiting.

Because Mats Sundin has turned himself into a circus with this joke of an act. At this point, I don't care if we get him. He is such a joke, I've lost interest.

Existential quetstion: what would an off-topic thread have to look like for it to be off-topic?
