Skokan. The first time around it was a tossup between him and Kveton for me, but I went with Skokan since every report indicates that Kveton won't be coming over again. Talent-wise I like Kveton better than Skokan, but what's the point in having a prospect if he'll never come to the States?

I think we should just bump Kundratek and the winner of this poll up one spot, and then vote #20 once more.

Why? Gaulton is still a prospect, albeit a prospect that won't play for 14 months...

i know, but considering he will be out for 14 months after being out for 6 months before the draft i would like to bump him off and have others in his place

Max Campbell was 2nd in scoring on his team as a Freshman... for a CCHA school. Going Campbell again.

Kveton played against men and put up better than .5 points a game in the top Czech league (10 goals, 15 points, in 28 games). 7th on his team in points and 4th in goals despite playing about 20 games less than everyone on his team that had more points.

I think Kveton will come back to NA if he feels he has a legit shot at the NHL. That may never happen but Campbell and Skokan are pretty much long shots as well and I like Kveton's offensive upside more.

Right, but Kveton may not even come back to North America period.

Hm this tie-breaker didn't accomplish much. Should just be a 3-way tie for #20.

these three are all better than some of the guys who've made it up onto the top 20 to begin with.

this is the list Ive had most issues with since my time on this board. This top 20 is alllll out of whack.

After reading this fhttp://theprospectpark.blogspot.com/, I think I will prove to be the ultimate in fickle: I started out voting for Kveton, then Campbell... and now Skokan.

3-way tie is definitely the way to go.

i really wish I could vote but for some reason, it just won't let me.
Anyways, It seem's to me that the 08 draft year was nearly as good as the 04 draft year. Maybe even better. I don't know much about or even heard much about our 2nd round pick Derek Stepan but the other's seemed to be great picks.

Both BB and Prospect Park rave about Skokan. Probably a 4th liner but he sounds almost like a Betts with a lot more snarl. Campbell had a very good freshman year at WMU. Hard to argue that he's not a legit prospect at this point. He could be a good one. Kveton falls behind these two and it may be more to do with uncertain it seems with his going back and forth between his QMJHL team and the Czech rep. teams.

As for Gaulton he does look like a sleeper but he is going to be sleeping for a while and one wonders how missing practically two full seasons is going to effect him. Soryal as well may turn into an NHL'er--compared to Colton Orr maybe as a skater but Orr apart from his fighting has never contributed offensively to any team he's been on in any league. Looking at his numbers Soryal seems at least to have some instincts for the game.
