Your Rangers All-Star team, SINCE you were a fan.

Simply put together an all-star Ranger team, ONLY using players that have played since you became a fan.

I am sort of a Rangers noob compared to a lot of you, and started watching in the 2002-2003 season.

Straka - Nylander - Jagr
Zherdev - Gomez - Bure
Naslund - Messier - Kovalev
Avery - Drury - Barnaby

Leetch - Staal
Redden - Tyutin
Rozsival - Kasparaitis

Lundqvist
Valiquette

Obviously the fans that have been around longer have a lot more options, and their lineups will look a lot more interesting!

Here is a website with older rosters to help you refresh your memory:

This is all off the top of my head so there may be some adjusting later.

I'm going with 3 goalies--sorry but there's no way I'm cutting any of

Giacomin, Richter, Lundqvist.

On D.

Leetch, Park, Beck, Zubov, Lowe, Beukeboom, Staal would be top 7. Honorable mention to Ruotsolainen, Jim Nielson, Samuelsson.

14 Forwards

Messier, Graves, Ratelle, Gilbert, Jagr, Larmer, Kovalev, Avery, Tkachuk, Hadfield, Vickers, Kocur, Erixon, Tikkanen. Honorable mentions--Sandstrom, Nylander, Gomez, Dubinsky, Pavelich, Domi, Esposito.

This is more like a team--skill, scoring, defense, toughness, agitation, guys who can kill penalties.

Forgot about Gretzky--move Vickers to the honorable mention list--no way I'm cutting Erixon--the best penalty killer we ever had. Add Fotiu and Greschner to the honorable mention list as well.

This is best on each player's best season AS A RANGER. Those who haven't played yet for the Rangers (Zherdev, et al) aren't included:

Graves - Messier - Jagr
Robitaille - Gretzky - Kovalev
Shanahan - Nedved - Amonte
Tikkanen - Nylander - Gartner

Just missed: Larmer, Lindros.

Leetch - Beukeboom
Zubov - Rosie
Ulf Samuelson - Kasper

Richter (won the Stanley Cup and the World Cup, both as a key player)
Lundqvist

Being a noob is fine. But perhaps you should wait until Zherdev, Naslund and Redden play a game as a Ranger first....

Does not matter how long you have been a fan, there is no way a player who has not yet touched the ice as a Ranger on that list.

I am simply going off of their talent, reputation, and how well I think they would mold in the line up. It's just an all star line up.

Kind of similar to adding Gretzky.

That 4th line would easily be the most agitating line in the NHL.
