Peter's supposed hip injury, has now been deemed the dreaded groin injury. As to how bad it is, that's anybody's guess outside of Peter and Pat Karns. If he needs surgery, that could could be a huge blow to how, and if Peter plays in the playoffs, as well as our cup chances, because we all know how this team plays with Peter out of the lineup. I'm getting pretty sick of this play ten games, then sit out five games thing, and I'm gonna be even sicker, if that is the situation in April.

Forsberg is questionable, but Hahl (welcome back Riku!), Morris and Foote should play tonight.

Another exciting period of Avalanche hockey! 4 whole shots! But expectations have to be lower without your best player (Forsberg), best defenseman (Blake), best defensive defenseman (Foote), best faceoff man and penalty killer (Nikolishin), and best pest and hitting forward (Hinote).

Kariya and Selanne continue to sleepwalk through their one year as Avs and Skoula gets schooled by the corpse of Pierre Turgeon. I thought Kuleshov looked decent out there, he even did the Forsberg-patented hit someone when you have the puck. He has good size and speed, too bad he's been such a bust.

Well that was one of the most boring first periods I've seen in a long time. We may have a lot of players out, but I don't see the need to spread out the talent so much, with all these line combos. The only time Granato's line juggling has worked was against the Wings, and that's probably only because the guys were up for the game more than any other, and Tony G didn't mess with the AMP line.

I can't believe how poorly Skoula just played Arnott on that goal. I kept waiting for him to get his stick on him, but he never did. Absolutely pathetic.

Avs down 2-0...Arnott out-muscling....Martin Skoula (the shock....the horror) to the net and roofing one over Aebischer. This is an ugly game...not so much the score but the Avs look pretty lifeless.

Man it's now 2-0 Stars. The Avs have really struglle in the last three games to score some goals. Guess who was on the ice for both Dallas' goals ??? Skoula is already a minus 2 tonight and was a minus 3 the other night against the Oilers. If he's our 6th D-Man when Blake and Foote are back i'm gonna be real pissed off.

Me neither but maybe Granato can... I hope for once he take a good decision and shows me he can do some of those sometimes.

Another poorly played period. Everything on the outside, no shots from the point, and no one driving the net. Looks like we're gonna need a PP goal to get back in this one.

This team is in a serious rut, they've gone into scoring funks before but it's usually because of hot goalies and hit posts. Turco's only had to make two good saves, on Morris in the 1st period and on Liles in the 2nd. I suppose Kariya had a good backhand chance also as well as Kuleshov's nice little play in the 2nd.

Tanguay, Hejduk, Sakic, Selanne, and Kariya, 5 of the 6 suposed star forwards, are playing embrassing hockey.

No powerplays, not shots, no life, nothing.

Martin Skoula watched Jason Arnott blow right by him before deciding to even hook him with his stick.

Boo. this team is stinkin up the joint. What's the point of having all those "superstars" on the forward lines if they aren't doing anything? I mean losing Forsberg is a blow to any team but *******. Adding Kariya and Selanne was supposed to mean we'd have a second scoring line. Jimmy Cummins looks like one of the best forwards out there tonite. Even "the bust" doesn't look out of place and that in itself can't be a good thing.

You know, I figured Skoula would play his ass off tonite with Boughner on his way. The kid is playing himself right off the roster. If they can get us another defensive forward for him by all means please do it.

3 goals for Dallas, guess who has been out there for every one.

We had the power play we needed, and it looked like crap. This one might get ugly if we don't score soon.

Skoula again!! That's four goals for Dallas, and a -3 for Skoula. If that first goal wasn't on the PP, he would have a -4.

I think Martin Skoula should get an assist on at least three of the four Dallas goals...he has been their MVP in this game

Damn slumps suck

4-0. is this team turning into the new york rangers? if this keeps up for a prolonged time period, such as a month, granato could be gone. there's just no excuse for this. maybe these players have lost all faith and confidence in themselves. tough times indeed.

It's one week of bad hockey that can quickly be forgotten about and improved upon after this weekend. I wouldn't worry too much.

It's a bit early to go down that route....this is just a slump. I'm pissed about their play, but they will turn it around.
