i concur with you guys. it is just a slump thus far. every team goes through them. but it doesn't make it any less painful given this team's high expectations.

btw, i also hope skola is rid from this team somehow. he may have great potential, but he's not showing it now. in fact, he's holding the team back quite a bit. he needs to go to the minors or be used as trade bait imo.

Nice little wrestling match between McCormick and Morrow.

It is only three games, 1 of which was a closely fought game.

I'm more worried about Kariya and Selanne. They've been huge disappointments all year. They got a pass for the first 50 or so games because of injuries and chemistry issues, but there should be no excuse for how invisible they've been on most nights. Selanne had a nice back-to-back vs. St. Louis and Detroit, then back to nothing.

And was it just me, but was Kariya benched in the third tonight? I only saw him on that farce of a 5-on-3 we had.

Skoula is terrible. LOL. Watching him tonight was a chance to see bad hockey at its peak.

Any wonder why Boughner was added? Skoula has the innate ability to lose the games for the Avs.......yeesh.

Well we're officially either in a slump, or we just found out what happens when Blake, and Foote are out in same game, not to mention the other guys like Forsberg, and Nikolishin.

At least we showed some emotion at the end, and fought untill we got one goal. Morrow better count his lucky stars that McCormick couldn't use his right hand in that fight due to doctors orders, because after Morrow threw a sucker punch over the referees at him, Cody was looking to take his head off. On a related note, it's good to see Jimmy Cummins finally win a fight against a pretty good fighter in Guerin. Way to go Jimmy!

It doesn't look like Paul Kariya was benched......but guess who got less ice time these days? Milan Hejduk.

It seems that ALL our forwards are sleepwalking.

I can't wait to hear what Sakic will say. Loosing 5-1 twice on the row.

Hmm...

Forsberg's out two games--zero offense
Blake's out a few games--zero structure on the powerplay
Hinote's out a handful of games--zero enthusiasm or effort (minus that shown by the rookies)
Foote's out -- zero structure in our own zone
Nikolishin's out -- Loses on all key faceoffs in our zone

If this is "Joe's" team, then why is this continuing? At least Cummins knocked around Guerin like a golf ball.

I think Skoula needs a mirror so he can tell which team he is playing on...

I actually thought Selanne played really well against Vancouver, even if he was the only one. I was thankfully unavailable to watch the last two games, though.
