I can just imagine this scenario playing out later this year: "Do you, John-Micheal Liles, take Jori to be your wife in holy matrimony?"

Blush blush, somebody likes someone

Nice article, ty Jori.

Another family that has annoyingly named all their kids with the same first letter, obviously "J" in this case.

I like this quote at the end, "Right now, pretty much every day is a great day to be me," Liles said. "I live in Denver and it's an unbelievable city. I play professional hockey. I'm 23 years old. I'm healthy, knock on wood. I've got great family and friends.

"Sometimes, you take a step back and look. I know how lucky I am every day."

I also had no idea that Donald Brashear and Dale Purinton were from Indiana.

That was a nice read. I always thought Liles fit in really well on the Avs, and was a probably a likeable teammate. You can see it on The Season too, where he just looked so happy all the time off the ice, and seemed to act like he's been on the team for years already. Very confident (not cocky), smart kid. Great work ethic too, and steps up when the game really matters.

The grandfather is John, the father is John Jr. and the mother is Janie. Sounds like a bunch of "J"'s. Why shouldn't the kids be the same??? Wonder if the pets are too?

Because I know a few families that do this and I find it silly.

You obviously don't know the Liles family. I have met them and there is a reason that they did it - it has to do with naming the kids after family members. You should reserve judgment until you know the facts

I know the facts, it's not hard to decipher that everyone in their family has a "j" name. I'll judge however I like and I find it annoying. This is ridiculous anyway, I still like Liles and I don't need to know his family to do so.
