Cool, even easier. Looking forward to it. Hopefully most people show up for the draft, with 16 teams that could be fun. 16 teams is a lot though, it's going to be tough in the later rounds. Good luck everyone.

I'll bump the thread on Sunday as a reminder, and will probably make another league in a couple weeks once the preseason starts winding down.

I'm thinking of lowering the bench spots to 5 or 6 to provide a little more quality to the FA pool. I like having a deep bench but 16 teams deep it might be too many. I'm going to 6 for sure, maybe 5. Any opposed?

They'll be there.

Hey guys, anyone that missed out on the Yahoo league, I'll make another one on CBSsportsline, same idea, very easy and fun, but a little different.

I personally would take a few benches out. I think theres 6 or 7 now. I would do 4. Just my opinion. You don't need to listen to me

Someone should do a straight points and/or Rotisserie league too. I haven't tried either so I wouldn't want to be the one to set it up.

I like a larger bench because that allows you to make sure that you have a full lineup (during the bye weeks) without having to drop critical players.

As do I, but we're going to be left picking through RBs who average 4 carries a game and 5th receivers for the Raiders - not only on waivers but as our last couple of picks.

I think six will be enough, although if more of you want to go to 5 I'll do that. That allows two RB's, two WR's, one D/ST, one QB, and you don't necessarily need (or later on, want) a backup QB when 32 of them are going to be starting each week.

Sorry to hog another spot, but I plan on being a fantasy ***** this year. Man that sounds bad.

I think we could probably fill 20 leagues on this board, I plan on making a few (both football and hockey), so for anyone who doesn't see this time - there will be more. Different styles, of course.

I agree. I've been making my draft lists, and it seems like with 16 teams and that many bench spots we're looking at some very slim pickings. I've only sorted through 37 QBs and 49 RBs, and everybody below that point has pretty meagre fantasy stats. I'd go to 5, but it's up to you, and you should probably listen to somebody with a little more fan. football experience.

Would anyone be up for a yahoo fantasy hockey pool, when it comes out? I've been doing one for 3 straight years now with my friends.

Thanks for the answer. 5 bench spots sounds like plenty to me.

Can't wait to see who gets stuck with the Falcons QB

We did a few last year, my first taste of Yahoo. Loved it, especially the head to head style. I'll be looking to have a number of teams this year.

Anyone interested in a 2nd HF Oilers NFL Pool?

Missed out on the first one.

As for hockey - I plan to redeem myself big on the rematch of Calgary Puck vs. HF Oilers.

Which I don't mind in the end, but I prefer the other route.

I might miss the draft due to Banff being 1 hour from me tomorrow but I'll take whatever the computer picks for me.

Yahoo is also a H2H, at least the one I created. I plan to make a couple more leagues as we get closer to the season. I'll post them in this thread and update the title.

You're welcome to make one yourself though, I'll take part and there's no doubt you'll be able to fill it.
