Edmonton and it's 'final' hole.

So I keep hearing about Lowe wanting to acquire another top six forward.
This would no doubt involve a forward and defenseman, plus no doubt some kind of prospect and at least a third rounder.

So anyone want to propose to me and the rest of fans a reasonable deal that would help both teams involved benefit.

Preferences on a left winger, but we aren't picky at this point.

If the deal ends up being reasonable to Edmonton, it won't involve Lowe....Tambellini to the rescue.

Actually we are. From what I have heard we want sniper who plays on the LW. Also we wont be trading Gagner, Hemsky, Horcoff and gilbert.

Yeah I know that, but I doubt Tambellini has full reign yet. And like I said, I kept hearing about Lowe wanting another top 6. No doubt he's getting Tambell to keep looking. If the team needs it, doesn't that make sense.

Stoll and Greene for Visnovsky. Almost everyone hear would agree with me that the Oilers won that trade.

So you'd turn down Danny Briere, Lecavalier, etc because they don't play LW?

And of course none of them'll be gone. But I can see Cogliano being had for a good return. Which would really suck

Are you guys completely content with Garon as your starter? I know he was decent last year, but the shootout is a tricky beast to master.

Did I say I would? I said from what I have heard people talk about, we want a LW who is a sniper.

I would turn down Briere. He's way overpaid.

There's quotations around final for a reason. It's just what I've been hearing would be our last move before the season starts unless we get an outstanding offer.

If he stays at the level he was last year, I'm happy with it. He definitely stole quite a few games, and anything's better than Dwayne Rolls-right-in at this point in time. Garon didn't lose us any games, but Rollie... did. A few times.

Thanks for the input. I guess the goalie market isn't too great right now, anyways. Somehow I don't think you missed out on not getting Emery.

I still hate your team in the shootouts, though.

Garon was far from decent, he played like a undisptued number 1

I know Edmonton is high on him, but he had a CAREER year and the Oilers still finished worse than every team in the NHL in goals against except:

Leafs
Kings
Thrashers
Lightning

Keep in mind that was with Souray (-46 post-lockout) OUT of the lineup most of the year.

Not that there's anything that can be helped about it - as previously mentioned, the goalies available right now aren't likely to be an upgrade, but that has to be a long-term concern. Roloson will retire in the next few years leaving... DesLauriers? Anything can happen but I don't think he's widely regarded to be a budding young star.

Over a whiney Roloson.

Nah, I say decent because it's based on one year in an unspectacular career to date. That's the only reason I wonder if you guys have questions about him. And this is coming from someone who had to endure Cloutier, so I am used to questioning a goalies abilities.

Ales Kotalik?

Can play all three forward positions, and is the definition of a sniper.

I'm lazy. What're Gionta and Kotalik's numbers?
What would you want for them, etc
