We're gearing up in Flyer land for life without JR.
Kinda a hope for the best, expect the worse kinda thing.
The reports aren't good since there's possible damage to the stem.
Regardless, I don't think the team makes any more moves for a Center.
Primeau should be back, even if it's late in the regular season.
Zhamnov, Primeau, Handzus and Lapointe are still better then more teams can put out. And if JR comes back, either him or Zhamnov are going to end up at wing.
And the prospect cubbard is now kinda bare. Pitkanen, Carter Richards is all we got left of value. And I hope none of the three are moved.
No picks in the 1st 2 rounds of the 2004 draft either.
I don' think Clarke will trade for another center..
and I don't think he'll be bringing back Brind'Amour,(although I'd love to see his triumphant return). I have faith that Primeau will be back for the last week of the regular season. J.R. however, will be forced into retirement through his doctor's advise. That is why Clarkie traded for Zhamnov. Did anyone notice the smile on Zhamnov's face during the Atlanta game?
Honestly, I think the flyers need to make one more move, for a scoring winger (I'd love O'Neill if he's available, but maybe a guy like Sanderson from Columbus). Sharp can play center until Primeau comes back...I like this kid a lot.
