Lindros looks to return this season ( to Toronto?)

Lindros is seeing a specialist this weekend,
and expects to return this season, fuelling speculation he will be traded if a team is willing to pick up the remainder of his contract

Lindros for a conditional pick (2nd as a bases but if he comes in the top 2 on team scoring in the playoffs, and returns the following year it becomes a 1st)

Yikes ... even that is a lot for a player not even guaranteed to ever play again..

Seriously, for the love of god how many times have you hinted Lindros to Toronto?

Hey, it would probably be a good for all those dumbasses who bought Lindros 88 Maple Leafs jerseys!

I don't want him in Toronto unless NYR would take an 8th or 9th round pick for him. Then, what the hell?

I say a 3rd this season, plus a conditional 3rd for next season solely based on if he returns. We all know Lindros would make a break for it if he could anyways (although he does like NY, he's always said, and always will say he wants to be a Leaf untill it happens, when he gets his chance, he'll be in TO).

The best bet for NY would be to demand a whole slew of mid round picks, which may not be worth all that much, but if they get 3 or 4 5th rounders from a team, rather than a potential pick based on performance and such they'd get a solid return for a guy who was going to leave anyways.

But then again, if they want to go for the Cup still, they won't be trading him.

Picking up Lindros in a deal would be the stupidest things the Leafs can do. The NYR have a $10.5 mil option on Lindros next year, which they most likely won't pick up. Then Eric is an UFA. With the chances of him returning this year slim, why wouldn't they just wait till July to pick him up?? For a lower price...... only makes sense.

Getting him next July doesnt help you win the cup this May.

I would not mind Detroit picking him up if the cost is a 4th to 6th round pick. If he plays at all for us, then we got our worth out of it.

I'd get him, but at a very very low cost. He's in a position to be a rent a player, and he's been hurt this year.

the leafs never have enough with all the injuries they get
if they get past the 1st round theyll probably be down to the wilm's and c.johnson's playing 3rd line again
and the blueline suffers even more with injuries

Yeah, but Detroit seems to draft well during those rounds, I think he should retire for his own safety or at least take a year off. If healthy though, he sure would fill in a couple gaps in the Wings offense, but he isn't.

I've seen just about enough of this MikeofWindsor and Scarface. You're making me follow you from thread to thread telling you to cool it. If it doesn't end here, and right here, there are going to have to be some bans laid out. I don't care who started what, just drop it right here unless you want a three day hiatus to consider where you went wrong.

All i said was that it seems as though every player is heading to Toronto in a trade...so Caniac relax, i apologized and u saw that so don't even say i am continuing something when i'm not.

As for my title, big deal..its not aimed at him in anyway.
Scarface, I saw the apology and that was great. It's just that whenever a Leafs thread pops up, you flock to it and start making fun of the city and the players and making personal attacks. I'm just saying to lay off of that. If you have something to contribute to the argument besides blind hate, then do it. If not, just don't respond to the thread. It's getting tiresome having to come behind you on these threads and try to keep peace. Just drop it.

Relax man, i am not giving blind hate, some stuff is just stupid like every player heading to Toronto i'll point out how unlikely it is.

LIke who would want to take a chance with a player with what, 9 concussions? making 4.5 million...even if the rangers take 1.5 of his salary, he's still a huge risk. One hard hit and he's a goner, in the playoffs he'll be done because everyone knows he's fragile to hits...so a gm would be crazy to take that chance with him, even if its for 2million...not worth the trouble imo. Thats why the rags are stuck with The big E.

he's a loaner for a month
get him for a pick
it's hardly a big gamble
