But it seems he is healthy after last season and I don't think playing with Alexander Frolov will hurt him one bit (if that is what happens). Especially if he likes to shoot the puck.

This isn't directed at you by any means but I have a feeling now Dean's cheap ass will become a stupid one in the eyes of some and the conundrum continues.

I'm not done relaxin' yet Dean!

It wont matter at all, UNLESS ANY ACRIMONY REMAINS. If the reports are true, I am as happy as the next guy, maybe happier.

One down, two to go and camp hasn't even started yet. Whew Hooo. . . Maybe Sully signs tomorrow and Richardson signs Friday, and DL wont get plastered at the breakfast with the GM Saturday morning. Now I cant wait for the 10 game winning streak at the beginning of the season. Oh wait, I forgot, do we have a defense?

If you look at contracts the past UFA and this one really its a pretty nice contract. If he can rebound its a great contract but obviously if he remains injured it hurts a bit. Still having a top 5 face-off guy who can play PK and PP point is very valuable.

There is a clause in the CBA that states that a NTC or NMC clause included in a contract cannot go into effect until the player reaches the age of UFA eligibility. In Stoll's case this would not be until next season.

If this report is true I would be very happy with it. Then it would show some type of long term commitment to a player who is expected to contribute significantly to the team. It could be an overpayment if Stoll does not rebound. But since it does include UFA years it is probably about market value for Stoll. If he does rebound then it could look like a good deal in another year or two.

this is like the 3rd time in as many weeks that I've heard a nearly identical version of this rumored contract.

Usually if a rumor is continuously rumored then it's got a decent chance of being true, eh?

If people had no idea we'd hear nothing or totally different versions of the rumor pop up. Atleast that's what I see as a fairly common trend in the transformation from rumor to reality.

Another shrewd, calculated move by Lombardi. Oh wait.

Brown also was not carrying around the same injury risk that Stoll is. Do we have to re-live the Deadmarsh days of concussions to remind us of the real risks of PCS?

and Eric Messier could ride Brown into the boards funny at Frozen Fury and he blows a knee... or something.

and Cammalleri may have lingering abdominal issues that'd permanently affect his torque and alter his ability to shoot the same.

you never know, the further Stoll gets from any symptoms whatsoever, the better.

Because you are an expert in the medical field and know that every case of concussion is the same.

Roenick was told several times he probably shouldn't play again because of PCS... what was that, 5, 6 years ago?

You know who had more concussions than Stoll and also had PCS and is still playing to this day?

Paul Kariya.

PCS is not such a huge deal with him, especially since Stoll still managed to play 81 games last year and had 122 hits on the Oilers, the most out of anyone on that team. Typically when your brain is turned to mush from a concussion, you dont go around hitting people.

It's definitely debatable. Maybe we could trade him. I'm not too good at those trade proposals though. You got any ideas?
