My all-time favorite player playing for my least favorite team...what a horrible day it was when he was traded to the Sens...

Pat Lafontaine in a Ranger uniform sticks out.

Messier in a Canuk Jersey

Gretzky in a St. Louis Jersey still seems wrong.

Theo Flurey in a Ranger Jersey never looked right either, He was the back bone of the Flames.

I actually have a friend who whenever I mention this when we're drinking, he'll start tearing up and have to goto the bathroom. The same to Wendel Clark the Nordique. That's how much those guys meant to him. Unbelievable.

That said? Seeing Vinnie D in his rookie Leafs sweater is so weird to me since he was my all time favourite player, and the same goes to Kirk Muller in a Leafs sweater. Schneider was hard to swallow as well.

Oh Leaf Fans, how about: http://bp3.blogger.com/_vL72e54uWCg/...-h/tuckmmm.jpg

Hunter as a Nord doesn't qualify....He was there like 7 years and made plenty of 'noise' while he was there.

No kidding ... if the the HHOF was like the baseball HOF and inducted players as a member of one team, and if Hunter somehow made it in, he'd go in as a Nordique. Most of his best seasons and defining moments were there. Of 9 seasons of 60+ points, 6 were as a Nordique.

He might have spent longer in Washington, but his last 4-5 years there he was well past his peak and more of a checker than anything. His prime lasted 13 seasons from 1980-1993; 7 seasons as a Nordique and 6 as a Capital.

I am going to have to vehemently disagree with most of that. Yes he had some solid years in Quebec, but he was Captain in Washington, lead them to their only finals appearance, his only all-star appearance was with Washington, and has had his number retired there. He signed a one-day contract to retire in Washington after the '98-'99 season. In his post playing career, he worked for Washington before buying the Knights.

When I think of defining moments of Hunters career, I think of two: the Turgeon hit, and the OT goal against Philly, both of which happened in Washington. When Dale was in Quebec, he was overshadowed by other players. Sure he was good there, but he wasn't as high up on the totem pole as he was in Washington.

How about Shanahan as a Whaler:

Or Robert Lang as a Bruin or Straka as an Islander. (can't find pics of either).

The worst for me is messier in a canucks jersey. Messier is my alltime favorite player. The way he and the rangers seperated was tough but I still can't stand those pics of him as a canuck. It doesn't help that those canucks jerseys are god awful.

I know he was there a few years but Kurri in a Kings jersey never seemed right to me. But he looked really weired in an Avs jersey.

Also Vernon as a Panther

Hrudy as a Shark

Peter Ing as an Oiler

Anderson as a Leaf - Fuhr for that matter as well

Scott Stevens as a Blue

Doug Gilmour as a Flame

Felix Potvin as an Islander

Oh and worse of all Pronger as an Oiler.

Jagr, In anything else but the Rangers jersey! And I find that strange when he played longer in Pittsburgh!
