Ruutu still looks to me like a key player who will rack 60-something points per year in his prime.

The Hemsky example is not good as Ruutu does not need to score or put up points to be effective - he can make the open ice hit, grind along the boards , make a dirty play , get under the other team's nerves and draw a penalty etc. etc. A player like this who can put up even 60 points is rare indeed...
