Good poll. I went with Horcoff. At this point Plekanec has only had one season where he 50+ points. Horcoff brings the offense and great defensive play. He also averaged 4 more minutes a game with similar time on the powerplay.

Wow - though choice.
Horcoff was on a tear last year - nearly a point per game player. He also had 73 points 2 seasons ago so he can produce.

Plekanec also had a break out year scoring 69 points.

But I went with Plekanec - why?
My coin landed on tails, but who ever comes 2nd in this poll will be very close.

Horcoff easy. They're both solid two ways but Horcoff isn't soft and has one very good playoff run under his belt.

Plekanec, I'm high on this guy but this is a close one.

Horcoff is as good offensively and probably better at most of the rest.

I'm in shock.

You know an Oiler deserves to win when ryz votes for him.

IMO Horcoff is better but I'd still rather have Plekanec on the Habs. They're both almost equal but I think Horcoff has had better playoff performances so far.

Horcoff has proven he can be a #1 center in the playoffs.

For a change, this is actually a very good poll. A very tough choice.

They're both good offensively, with Plekanec having more pure skill, but Horcoff works as hard as anyone in the game, and is better defensively, so I ended up going with him. It'll be a close poll, though, that's for sure.

I agree with the previous posters, this is a extremely close poll. I choose Plekanec but you can't go wrong with any of those.

Horcoff, and to be quite honest, i'm surprised that he doesn't have a bigger lead at this point in the vote.

I really don't think there's any question that Horcoff brings more to the table at this point in time, and i don't see that huge of a swing within the next 5 years.

Horcoff's a really good player, and appears that he could be underappreciated.

Plekanec is great defensively. When he joined the Habs, he was labeled as a two way player. He never had a negative (plus/minus) season and he got a career +29 in 3 NHL seasons.

I took Plekanec (homer vote), but you can't go wrong with either guy. They're very similar players.

Yeah, he is the top centre on even strength, PP and PK. You can make a case for him to be the best PKer on the Habs actually.

I don't really know, but I could see Horcoff having an edge in the leadership departement, since Turtlenec isn't that much of a leader right now. Then again, he's still quite young so we'll see. And he could cost less, too, though we won't know until he signs his contract.

Horcoff's also a better faceoff man.
