Kane vs. Kopitar

Who scores more points next season and who will be the better producer in their prime?

Kane now, and in the future.

Not a knock against Kopitar, Kings are damn lucky to have him, but Kane's just better, IMO.

Kopitar now, Kane in the future. Kane will probably score more (thanks in large part to Toews), but I don't know, there's something about Kopitar that gives him an edge for now.

Kane now and in the future for scoring.

I'd rather have Kopitar as a player.

interesting results so far...

I'll say Kane now and in the future point total wise. (though I agree Kopitar brings more to the table as a more complete player)

But it makes it more difficult to decide and is intriguing when you consider that Kopitar is on nearly the same pace of production to a man of similar statute who goes by the name of Malkin at the same age and he doesn't have someone on his team that posses anywhere near the talent of Crosby.

That being said it is very difficult to ignore Kane's current and future offensive ability.

Kane a 1st overall draft pick, Kopitar an 11th

Interesting poll

just considering their 1st season, Kane wins the poll pretty handily. an 18 year old beating a 19 year old in points and winning a Calder, Kopitar wasnt (albeit he should have been over J.Staal) nominated. However, Kopitar had a tremendous follow-up season, which Kane will have next year. This will be a better determinant, but as for now, because Kopitar has show that he can produce for 2 season, he has to get the edge, now and future

its very close but i would go with Kopitar since i think he is going to be the better overall player, Kane will likely have more points but id rather have Kopitar on my team, i think he will be a better contributor.

I voted Kopitar now and in the future.

As good as Kane is and will be, Kopitar is just simply better

Voted wrong, but I meant;
Kopitar now and Kopitar in the future.

I actually voted;
Kopitar now and Kane in the future.

Kopitar = Sundin
Kane = Briere

IMO.

Strictly on points, Kopitar next season, Kane in the future.

I see it as, 90-95 points for Kane, 80-85 points for Kopitar as normal seasons in their prime.

How so? Kopitar was three points away from 80 in his 20 year old sophomore season on the worst team in the league.

He will break 100 at least once in his career. Wait and watch.

Exactly I don't understand why people think Kopitar won't break 100. He will do it easily.
