You think Henrik Samuelsson can challenge for a spot on the SEL team?
I think so, in the official opener earlier today when the team played against the Swedish national bandy team he showed some skills and both me and also people on the MoDo boards think he can make it to the team, or at least get called up once in a while. He's only 17 but plays much "bigger" already. So yes, I wouldn't be surprised if he makes the team, I'd rather be more surprised if he doesn't.
Will John Westin see more time with Modo? I know he played one game last season, recently turned 19 year old. Or will he spend most of his time with the J20 again? Thanks

Probably, he's competing for a roster spot with a few other junior players;
Janos Hari
Måns Kruger
jesper olofsson
henrik samuelsson
erik nyström
Rob Scremp recruited. I am rather excited by this move. Schremp was seen as a future star player at the beginning of his career but it didn't work out. He was seen as a bit to small and to weak on the puck. If that was the true reasons he might be doing better in SEL than he has done in the NHL.
Is it possible that Hannula's demeanor, work ethic and attitude will influence and help Dick Axelsson? Well, if they're linemates. Even if they're not.
What do you guys think of Anton Forsberg? Does he have NHL potential?
Edit: he does play for modo, right? Lol
Anton Forsberg does play for MoDo, but it's hard to say yet how good he is as he has just taken the step into the SEL team, and I have yet to see him in action. But he has two shutouts so far in the preseason, and the coaches seem happy and also somewhat surprised of his progress since last season. But Ian Clark saw potential back then, so who knows? A promising goalie talent though, that much I can say right away.
Could I get some impressions on Henrik Samuelsson's play so far? How's his skating looking?
Some people are complaining on the MoDo boards that Samuelsson is getting too much ice time (he has averaged 19:22 after three games so far). But that's their opinion. Personally I'm surprised how well he has done considering he's only 17 and has just played his first few games in a men's league.
His skating is okay, nothing fancy but not too bad either. He shows some grit and isn't shying away from physical contact, but what surprises me the most is that he's got some pretty good hands. But he does "junior mistakes" and tends to forget about his man sometimes, but that's fine considering he's just 17 and still has to wear a full cage as per league rules.
Modo's coach (Ulf) being Henrik's father complicates things somewhat more. It's not an ideal situation and it won't take media long before they start questioning Ulf's leadership and possible special treatment towards Henrik. Some fans are already on his case for this.
