I guess we'll see. I hope it's the case, just not 100% sold that he can lead a first line.

I like Plek is overrated. Some people see him as a first line center but I wouldn't be surprised if his production doesn't go much higher. Although with his goal scoring, playmaking, speed and two-way play i can surely see why you deem him most complete.

Pleks has managed to consistently produce on any line he's ever been put on. He's always made everyone around him better. I'd say Plekanec is actually underrated by many, and that he may still have some upside. He's still fairly new at being on the first line and playing with the team's top players. Kostitsyn - Plekanec - Kostitsyn might very well become a line to watch in the future.

Pleks is the best 2 way player we have...

He could be either 1st/2nd/3rd center and he'd be just as good in each role.

BTW, I just saw Sergei is listed at 5' 11" and 196lbs..
That's really not so bad if he wants to cut to the net! He could put on a little more weight, but he's only 21 so I can see him being rather dominating in a few years!

He is the complete package, hard heavy shot, excellent skater, great stickhandler, excellent to protect the puck, uses his strength pretty well to win battles along the board, can pass, can score.. He isnt Ovechkin but will become an elite winger thats for sure..

Sergei is skilled alot, has a great vision and plays with an edge but I dont think he is at the same level as his brother in term of overall skills..
This doesn't make sense to me. Aside from the many examples of Europeans who are obviously (or not so obviously) strong, it's important to bear in mind that >95% of NHL players are of European descent.

I agree that although Sergei is talented in his own right, compared to his bother he's a satellite revolving around a larger body.

He is bigger than a lot of people give him credit for, but he does look almost as big as his brother in that pic. I think he will be more physically mature this year.

The key question to ask is, which of the brothers is less likely to be traded? I'd say Andrei.
