Wouldn't it be better if someone did Powerade vs Gatorade topic

That sure would be interesting

Like I stated before my system doesn't hold electrolytes at all. If you flush all the salt out of your system, it's worse than getting heatstroke.

Muscle cramps, headaches, stomach aches, dizziness...massive muscle cramps, puking up blood...the whole shebang.

When they can't hydrate you with saline (in the tents they couldn't) and I had a 6000 m race to do in 3 hours so they were giving out gatorade.

So no. Not from improper diet and water was what caused it in the first place.
its not caused by an improper diet if what your CCA tells you is a proper diet truly is , but myself being a raw food vegan am in disagreement with the CCA on the definition of a proper diet . my definition is ' raw plant matter and water ' .

i hypothosize that your system isnt holding on to sodium because probably most of it in your diet is inorganic and thusly less than optimum cell fuel , where as if you were consuming alot of organic / living sodium contained in the raw juices of say celery and tomato it would be absorbed by your cells and thusly no shortage .

Blue, Red or Yellow. I don't read labels... if it has Gatorade or Powerade on it I'll buy it and drink it after exercising.

And how many calories did you eat a day? We had to average over 6000 a day, just to keep normal function. There is no way, that being on a "raw food vegan" diet will do that. Did we eat crap?

No.

But did we eat things like cheese, chicken ect? Of course. When you're competing at a high level, like worlds and Pan Americans, eating nothing but raw food is not feasible, practical or healthy.

We drank things like veggie juice ect. but like I said, 6000 calories a day...cannot be acheived by eating nothing but raw vegetables.

You hypothesize wrong.

Because of the BMIs that we had, the heat and the fact that because of my blood sugar condition I couldn't hold onto the glucose and sodium that we were taking in unless it was a constant thing, and gatorade was the best for it because it was full of electrolytes.

I'm the only one who voted for passion fruit

That's my favorite followed by orange, the only day I drink it is Saturday when I have my long run otherwise I stick to water.

Have to go with the classic lemon lime myself. There's just something about it. Fruit punch is good too.

My all time favorite was Powerade Jagged ice, when it was made it was the only sports drink i would drink, they seem to have replaced it with grape which is one of the most awful flavors ever, i really miss my jagged ice i wish they would bring it back. when some stores stopped carrying it i used to go and buy it out at the few stores that still did.
