Who plays a charity game, shows the world you can still skate, then retires? That's silly.

Sundin will announce his intentions to still play and will thank the city of Toronto for all of their support of him throughout the years.

Who said he HAS to SHOW he can still skate at a Friggin Charity event...don't put words in my mouth, I don't appreciate that!

''I talked to some people at the golf tournament today...I can't name their names...but let's put it this way: while the Habs haven't lost all hope in the Sundin derby, they are preparing their team as if he isn't coming.''

I'm very happy with that. Sure getting Sundin would have been great as he was exactly what we needed but before any players need, what you need is a team and I'm happy were moving foward into building a TEAM!

derby :a race or contest, usually one open to all who wish to enter and offering a prize for the winner.
I would choose to call this the Sundin Quagmire

Just listening to Sundin talk on AM640 in Toronto. Basically, he's saying nothing has changed. He still doesn't know if he wants to play, he's not exactly out of shape, but he'd have to do some work to get into game shape, and he has no intention of looking for a team until he makes the decision whether to play. Claims he hasn't even looked at the offers seriously. Wants people to have patience with him, because it could still take a while.

So much for Sundin making a decision in the month of August!!!!! It looks like he will be either retiring or he will return to the Leafs for another season. It's too bad that the Habs won't be getting him because he would be a perfect fit, but I guess if he retires we won't have to worry about playing against him.

The adventures of the scandinavian skater are very interesting, but there's something I'm still not sure of... You need fries and cheese curds and THEN you put gravy on, right?!?

If ever the NHLPA is looking for a member to go on the executive commity who can serve as an agent to stall negociations, they do not need to look any further than Mats Sundin.

That's my recomended way.

Thought some places will put the a small layer of cheese curds at the bottom then fries then a sprinkling of curds on top.. then sauce.

This apparently les you enjoy curds all throughout your fry munching experience.

When I worked in the fast food business (back when I was still in school). I used to put some fries, then cheese, then more fries, then more cheese and then the gravy. It was bliss

Not that silly. What would be silly is announcing he's be playing in Montréal or Vancouver in Toronto.

He'll say nothing as usual.
