Practice shooting with...what?

Was very curious to what you guys used when you're just out front in the driveway shooting pucks around and practicing your Aim.

I'm oldschool and still use a roll of electrical tape...Scotch 88 or similar. Good weight and the added friction on concrete simulates a shot on the ice.

I shoot into a small bucket, sometimes from the street. Keeping the shot very hard and low. Or I'll elevate the bucket by putting it into a cardboard box and on top of something

Yes...I've broken many buckets lol

I hate those roller hockey pucks that do nothing but roll around instead of staying flat and a ball is out of the question for me. The tape still rolls around, just not as much. At least to me...

Sooo...What do you guys use?

-Brian

You can use those plastic board things, the puck has no friction on them.

I bought a piece of plexiglass/acrylic sheet or whatever it is from Home Depot that I lay down in the driveway. I shoot regular pucks into a street hockey net. This way I can use my regular stick without worry of tearing it up on the concrete.

A local rink has a shooting range with blacktop and a goal with a giant chain link fence behind it. I shoot off the plastic sheets with regular pucks.

I've been doing the same thing. the acrylic was cheap and it was well worth it.

-Plastic white board floors (as already mentioned)
-Orange pucks (helps your shot get harder imo)
-Basement wall

If you can't shoot in your basement, then I'd suggest a net outdoors.
