Wasted Pick...for a keeper league...unless you banking on his production in 3 or 4 years time

His next season in the NCAA should be his last one.

08-09: Last NCAA season
*signs with Habs*
09-10: First full season in AHL
10-11: Maybe another year in the AHL/could see some time with the Habs if he progresses
11-12: Should be a NHL regular.

Thanks for telling me, I drafted him last year lol...We have fairly deep rosters though, so I can afford to wait a few years.

Makes sense, especially given Markov and Hamrlik's contracts run out after 10-11.

Yeah, I'd put the timetable like that, although given what we hear about him, I wouldn't be surprised if he speeds up the last bit by a year, and ends up like SKost: only spending a couple months in Hamilton before making the jump.

I would add (guessing)

12-13: Another season as NHL regular
13-14: Starts producing (meaning: enough to be considered in fantasy)

Kinda made Tongue in Cheek, I don't participate in pools...to me, its build up your points as fast as you could in one season kinda thing. Short end of it all, I don't know the pool you guys are in.

A lot easier for a skilled winger to make that jump from junior to NHL than a Dman.

Tough one to call at this point, he has the strength to turn pro now but still needs a good bit of developing his game as he should since he was a true freshman coming from the USHS. This should be a big year for him, if all goes well, perhaps he will turn pro next summer. I wouldn't be surprised to see him spend another year in the NCAA unless he has a big year this season, which he should see a bigger role on the club since Klubertanz is gone. But the other two freshman were in front of him on the PP, so I hope he gets more time on the PP this coming season, as he did get PP time last past season but not until Brendan Smith went down with an injury.

A safe bet would be that he'll be a regular in 5 years, but that could easily change if his progression speeds up.
