Knife Help, please.

So I bought this badass knife for camping and such recently. Well, in a drunken fashion, my pops decided to sharpen it for me.

Well, he scratched the crap out of it. So, I took it to a close friend who sharpened it pretty nicely, but wasn't sure if he could get rid of the scratches.

So, does anyone know how to get rid of these brutal marks?

Thanks.

Haha, yeah, I know I know.

But knives rarely end up that messed up so quickly. It just irks me I guess.

Yeah second that. Either that or contact the manufacturer directly. I know Leatherman will replace damaged blades for free. Perhaps this one will as well.

So you hit the hooker's femur a few times. It'll mark the blade but as long as that ***** is dead...

Hey, i collect knives and i have one just like that. I had the exact same problem with a K-Bar knife that was all scratched up so i took it to a guy who sand blasted it it not with sand but glass beads. I then finished the job myself with a very fine grit sandpaper and the knife looks new now!

I heard that covering metals with toothpaste and letting it dry for a while will remove the scratches
