Who Wins the Karpotsev Sweepstakes.

See big Karp is back and I'm sure he's avaliable, veteran defenceman are always in demand at the deadline for the playoff run. Any body have any idea's were Karp will end up and what it will take to get him.

haven't watched much hockey other than your beloved Leafs eh Red? Karpotsev's value has dropped a bit in the last 3 years. I wouldn't expect you to have actually known that Red; your hockey knowledge is pretty spartan. GO back to the Leaf board you're going to get hurt out here. Take heart old man.

I still think that if the Hawks are patient enough somebody is gonna press the panic button and offer either a 3rd or a suspect prospect. Nothing great... but greater than a 7th

Atypical flames from you, WT (usually, you're a pretty nice guy).

Give the guy a break. He asked an innocent question.

Another hawk fan beat me too it......

The Hawks win it if he is dealt!

He could be an upgrade to some teams. But he and Korolev are public enemies 1 and 2 in chicago....

Spend some time on the Leafs board and you'll see why Red gets a response such as that.

Karpotsev could fetch a 4th round pick at the very best in my opinion. Although when on his game he's a effective player he's often injured as mentioned above and inconsistant to put it politely.

Go to the Leafs board and find out why.

And whoever win the Karpovtsev sweepstakes is the real loser.

If it's a sweepstakes, someone should bring a broom and a dustpan.

Darth, You don't understand. The Leafs Board has this guy that can only be characterized as your completely annoying, baffoon brother-in-law, who you can't get rid of because he is in your family now. His name is Red Horner. You should check out the stuff this guy pulls on the Leafs board. He gets everything he deserves, believe me.

Sort of like a Stephen Webb of the Internet.

Well the hate that fans have for both Wirtz and Pully is beyond what one could feel for any player!

In all seriousness- if healthy there are a few teams in which Potsie would be an upgrade... But if those teams were looking to upgrade, then if they end up with Potsie they must have gotten caught w/o a chair when the music stopped.

IMO, Potsie is just as good as Sauer- but I dont' think Sauer is very good. And at least he's not old and brittle.

I would think he's worth the same as Wino- who really doesn't have much left in the tank either. Wino has more offensive ability, but Potsie does bring the blocked shot thing to the table, which could help on someone's 3rd pairing...

Good points, thats why I was suggesting someone that is realistic for the Leafs to get with their limited prospect pool, Potsie is one tough SOB but health is a problem, but if you could keep him healthy for a couple of months he could be a real asset. Wish I could find a practical Leaf fan who could give a subjective response about an NHL player.

We don't always get what he wish for, Red. We all wish that you would stay off the Leafs board and go back the Devils board where you belong but clearly that won't happen.
